Chương 31: 31. starting the second ritual
After 1 long hour of brainstorming, we were finally able to solve the problem. And the solution was very simple and that is what made it so frustrating for me. Instead of directly taking everyone with him directly and then continuously protecting them from spatial energy, now he would first make a safe spatial passage in the shape of a door and we just have to jump from one side to the other.
Seeing that I had some time left, I procured a small school bag and started practicing undetectable extension charms and space magic on it. I even asked Alfred to expand the space inside it which resulted in the bag having an internal space of a small town.
By the end of the second hour, I was able to use space magic and undetectable extension charm to make the space as large as a basketball court but it was far from my satisfaction. So I decided that I would start working on the trunks after reaching Hogwarts as I still had many things to do with very little time to waste.
i did ask Alfred why he could not elf-travel with more than 2 people when Dobby could do it in the movies. The answer was that house elves can not remain unbound for a long time. Elves will slowly lose their lives with magical bonding with wizards, so Dobby was already living on borrowed time. Moreover he was using his lifespan to cast magic which was like giving an invitation to death.
It also made me understand that Dobby had PTSD from his time serving malfoys and to be cruel enough to make even a house elf betray their masters and wanting to remain free even if it means death, Malfoys can't be good people.
"Hey mom! I'm back. is the book on that ritual finished? " I asked without delay.
"Hey baby. Yes, It has been completed. see if you can improve it someway, but before undergoing your modified ritual, show it to me first."
"Okay mom. Please wait for a few minutes." I read the notebook completely and again was not very happy with the results. Using my system I gained a much deeper understanding of it's hows and whys. With my previous understanding and with the systems reward, I did manage to modify the ritual to a large extent. Now it will not only improve my looks and voice massively but will also release an aura that people will perceive what will make them feel better. For example, if a person loses a closed one and he/she needs a shoulder to lean and mourn from someone close, then they will perceive me as that close person.
Looking at the modified ritual, I was already very excited to see what amazing results the system will reward me with.
I told my mom all the details about my modified ritual and to say she was impressed would be an understatement.
"It's just amazing Harry. Do you know that you could cause wars if people get to know about the existence of such a powerful ritual. Don't underestimate its effects, for just the looks and voice all the women in the world would be ready to kill someone, not to talk about that aura." Listening to her, I was just thinking about what her reaction will be after seeing the actual results.
"Don't worry mom, nobody will ever get to know about it except for you and me as I'm not gonna write about it ever." reassuring her, I left the trunk and pocketed it. then I called Alfred as it was already 9 am.
"Alfred, drop me at Hermione's home."
After having a fulfilling breakfast with Dan, Emma and Hermione, I told them to be ready to come to gringotts when I send Alfred to them. Actually, I want to confirm one fandom knowledge, according to which Hermione is an heir of some old and extinct magical family. Let's see if that is true or false.
Waving them bye, I went directly to the ritual room. I had already procured necessary materials and ingredients from goblins so after sticking mom's portrait to the wall, I started drawing the modified ritual circle.
It was a lengthy and arduous task as I had to draw many fine lines with exact measurements by hand. The materials too were expansive and it made me eagerly anticipate the compensation from the publication.
After completing the drawing, I went to sit naked in the center ,which was very embarrassing for me as mom was watching,.
"Alright Harry. Concentrate, don't let yourself get distracted. Remember the specific way you have to pour your magic into the circle. I will help you with the time interval, so just follow my voice."
"Alright mom. I'm ready." I completed the process religiously and meticulously as I knew that even one little mistake would bite me in the ass and I wanted to gain the maximum benefit I could.
The ritual circle started shining with multi-coloured lights that soon cocooned me completely.
