"I need your blood, love."

Even though Chris' request confounded Elsa, she nodded, permitting her husband to go ahead and take some of her blood.

Chris inhaled deeply before letting out a heavy sigh and said, "I'll make it fast…"

He swiftly made a small cut on the middle finger of her left hand and gently squeezed it, allowing a few drops of blood to fall into the cup containing the potion that Milda had prepared.

Elsa winced a bit when Chris pressed harder on her finger to extract more blood, causing Chris to sigh again.

"I'm sorry… Just a bit more," he said.

"What is it for?"

"This will somehow remove the effect of the wine from your system. Yvonne experimented with that wine to turn humans into vampires without the need to be bitten." 

After he was done, he placed the cup back on the bedside table and suck on Elsa's finger to stop ng bleeding.
