Chương 3: beautiful creature
Jade and Lydia slept until they heard voices from afar and they were quick to wake up"Jade did you hear that?" Lydia asked as she tried to open her eyes and straighten her hair which looked like a nest. "Yes I think it's Mrs Lawrence' son.Lets go check.
After a brief family introduction the girls went to the kitchen to help her prepare for dinner while James who happened to be Mrs Lowrence son lit the fireplace due to cold weather.
The dinner was quiet since nobody was ready to start up a conversation. James was the first one to leave the dining room followed by Lydia who claimed to be sleepy. Jade and Mrs Lawrence cleared the dishes on the table and washed them while chatting.

A year passed and the girls were able to live comfortably with their new family. Their lives had gone smoothly and since they were educated, which enabled them to get a job in a royal school that was not far from where they lived.
As the usual routine they were preparing themselves for school. Though where they taught was known to be a royal school, it was built far from the palace because the previous king wanted his children to learn how to read, write and even fight away from the palace where their mothers would always be worried about their children. After his death, the king who was crowned didn't care much about the school so the rich people of the society were the ones who took their children there.
According to what Jade and Lydia heard, the king of Avianna had ruled for two decades without marrying. They couldn't help but wonder how a king would be crowned without a wife which was a must in all the kingdoms.

In the royal palace the king sat leisurely at the table with the family that he never cared about. On his right side, sat his aunt who was the previous queen of Avianna while her son sat at the left side. Both the princesses sat next to their mother while eating elagantly.
Queen Elisa had always thought that her son would be the one to inherit the throne from his father but the late king's nephew showed up and changed everything. Alvin killed his uncle mercilessly and took the throne. Though she tried so much to find evidence that Alvin was the one who killed her husband, she never got any proof but she had promised herself that she'd make sure her son would be the king.
"Why is everyone quiet, are you plotting to kill me?" The king asked with a chuckle. "Of course not my king why would you think that? We are your family." The queen said as she dubbed the corner of her mouth with a napkin. "I know that my lovely family wouldn't dare besides, with the number of people that have been sent to assassinate me, who of course ended up being dead,who else would want to be added to the list?" Alvin asked as he sipped the blood and stood up where everyone bowed their heads.
"I'll be visiting the royal school today. Levin,you'll be accompanying me." Alvin said and left the room. As he was leaving the corner of his lips pulled up. He knew very well that for years his aunt and cousin were the ones who benefited from the money that was given to the royal school. They paid peanuts to the workers and took the rest of the money. He had ignored that for years but he wanted to poke them so that they would stop messing with him with the thought that he was all oblivious.
Levin's jaw ticked at the thought of Alvin finding out that the king would find out about what they have been doing for years. "Mother I'll be going now." Levin said to his mother queen Elisa and quickly left towards the front door.

Jade and Lydia walked as quickly as they could. They didn't want to be late because they were told that they would be having a very important guests and they didn't want to create a wrong impression.
As they reached the school, Jade's hair was all over the place so she decided to go to the bathroom to straighten it. As she rushed to the bathroom, she didn't realize that someone had been staring at her ever since she and her friend entered the school gates.
Alvin had never shown his face to the royal school. Though he had wanted to visit the place, he never created time for it,but that day, he decided to go without a second thought. Though he had planned to come with his cousin, he had a change of plan where he planned to go alone without telling anyone in school who he was.
As he continued to walk while looking at the school with a bored expression, something caught his eyes; It was a girl who was wearing a maroon dress she seemed as if she tried to tame her unruly hair but instead of taming it she made the situation worse. Her long curly black hair wasn't something he was used to see, and those plack expressive eyes were something he wanted to see without her walking hurriedly; He wanted those eyes on him alone, without any distractions.
"What a beautiful creature!" He thought as he walked towards the girl's direction. He had seen a lot of women and bedded them but when he saw that young woman, the urge to hold her and taint that tinge of innocence that he saw in her face bugged him to the core.
He had found a new delicacy and he wanted to eat it all alone without sharing it with anyone.
Jade had not realized that someone had been closely following her until she heard that person speak. "Excuse me milady, do you know where the arts class is?" She heard a man ask and she quickly turned around. It was a young good looking man who had black slacks and a white shirt,. She could tell that the man didn't work at the school because she had come to know all the workers for the whole year she had worked there.
