One month had passed, and Alex's life had returned to a semblance of normalcy, aside from occasional check-ups. Today, however, was a special day for him, as he would finally receive his own Pokémon. Alex could hardly contain his excitement; after waiting for 12 years, he would finally have his very own Pokémon. As he made his way to the hall where he would receive his Pokémon, he noticed that all his siblings had also restarted their Pokémon journeys.
"Alex, you're here," exclaimed his father, surprised at how quickly Alex had adjusted to normal life after everything he had been through.
"Dad, Mom, can I finally get my own Pokémon?" Alex eagerly asked, unable to contain his anticipation.
"Yes, today you will receive your Pokémon. But first, listen carefully. There are some rules you must follow. First, you will start your journey at the age of 15. Second, we will give you two Pokémon as your starters. These Pokémon are more powerful than usual, as they have maximum EVs and are the offspring of some of our own Pokémon, making them stronger than normal or even royalty starters. You cannot train your Pokémon, as that goes against the rules set by both the Five Families and the League," Austin explained. As he spoke, excitement and worry filled Alex. He was thrilled to finally have his own Pokémon, but the restriction on training them concerned him. He knew, however, that if he wanted to make a name for himself, he would have to abide by these rules. Training his Pokémon now would make him an official Pokémon Trainer, but his parents would not allow him to journey until he turned 15. Additionally, the challenger mission also prohibited Pokémon training. Lost in thought, Alex contemplated the implications of these rules.
"Here are your starters and an old version of the Pokédex," Austin said as he handed two Poké Balls and what appeared to be a phone to Alex.
Alex took the Poké Balls, feeling a rush of excitement. With eager anticipation, he opened both of them, revealing two Pokémon. The first was an Abra, and the second was a Machop. Alex was awe-struck by his Pokémon, feeling overwhelming joy as both the Abra line and Machop line were among his top ten favorite Pokémon. He aimed his Pokédex at Abra.
"Abra, the Psi Pokémon. It normally sleeps for 18 hours a day. Abra is a Psychic-type Pokémon.
Gender: Male
Height: 3'4"
Ability: Synchronize
Moves: Teleport, Confusion, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Ally Switch, Encore, Magic Coat, Calm Mind," the Pokédex relayed.
"Wow, this Abra is incredible," Alex exclaimed, impressed by the multitude of moves it possessed. 'I suppose they didn't exaggerate when they said they were stronger than even royalty starters. And mind you, in this world, all the Royalty Starters have dual types.' Alex then directed his Pokédex to Machop.
"Machop, the Superpower Pokémon. Always brimming with power, it spends its time lifting boulders, which in turn makes it stronger. Its entire body is composed of muscles.
Gender: Male
Height: 3'6"
Ability: Guts
Moves: Low Kick, Focus Energy, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Knock Off, Encore, Close Combat, Bullet Punch, Submission," the Pokédex revealed.
Both Pokémon left Alex in awe, his excitement reaching new heights. 'I couldn't have asked for better starters,' Alex thought, grateful for the powerful Pokémon he had received.
