"From what?" I finally asked.

He huffed, leaning back into his chair. "From the same people you disabled, and yes, I do know about that."

I rolled my eyes, as if I didn't know that he already knew. It was only right that subordinates report to their superiors. 

I nodded my head at his words. Quickly recovering in order to not seem too rude. But there was some amount of disdain there. The leader was not able to resolve this, even when some random warrior like Cassandra dared to stand against them.

And I was not just discounting the strength of the enemies, as they were strong. Maybe level 12 or 13. Even if that was to me what a level one would be to them.

It was still strong compared to others. But in turn their forces should be about equal. Even more so since they were not the aggressors. As the defenders they would have access to all of their resources and people without the need to worry about any of their own attackers.
