Chương 35: Chapter 35

"Did you hear what happened..." Cardan walked across the hall as he ignored the mummers of the students.

"Hear I literally saw Austin with an injury on his face" another person answered.

Entering the class Cardan sat down and took out his note books and began reading. Easton kept his eyes on him before they glanced at Austin like his fellow students.

Austin had a busted lip that still hadn't been healed and a black eye. Narrowing his eyes back to Cardan subtly so he realised that he had no scars whatsoever.

'Quick reminder don't make Cardan angry...well angry enough that he wants to kill you' Easton internally thought as he returned back to reading his accounting book.In three days they would be writing their first exam and it would be accounting.

Austin was pissed off and angry. After blowing off his steam by hitting Remy some weird nobody he went to watch his cousin's show. Imagine his surprise when he went out for a smoke he was ambushed by some masked guy.

The guy first targeted body parts no one would notice and would not leave any marks so he knew this guy was experienced not even he could do that. He was so angry that he could barely scream after the guy hit some part of his throat and neck but he could still talk not scream or shout.

He knew his guys would come looking for him as soon as they noticed he had left so he tried buying some time by deciding to do some small talk.

"Why are you doing this?"

"..."

"Won't answer, then who the hell are yo-" another course of pain went through him.

"..."

"Fuck what the hell did I do to you..." at this point he had already began wailing.

"..."

"A-r-e y-o-u m-ut-e or so-m-e-t-hi-ng" by now he was mourning and twitching.

He remembers saying something but not what it was but what he was sure about was that it pissed the person so much so that it cost him a black eye and busted lip.

Austin clenched his hands in anger as a vein appeared on his forehead. He caught the eye of Zaden who was blankly watching him and more veins appeared in his face by now his face had turned completely red. Zaden just shook his head and turned head as and made his way to his seat in what looked like a surprise on his face.

'Is it him?' Austin asked himself internally before rejecting that thought 'He doesn't have the balls.'

What made Austin angered even more was the reaction of his family members.

Belinda rolled her eyes as soon as she saw him before strutting her way to her room as if she was walking on a runway.

His uncle glanced at him before returning back to his laptop. He wasn't surprised as long as it didn't concern his wife and daughter the man didn't give a damn. His aunt on the other hand was the only one who helped. She gave him some medicine and made some herbal medicine for him to deal with his 'invisible pain'. His aunt's parents were doctors so it wasn't surprising.

But what his father did when he was taken back home was even worse hell it added layers of more scars on his body and his mother as always acted as if it was none of his business.

And it was all that masked guys fault as soon as he finds out whom it was that person is dead.

Cardan on the other hand was amused by a shocked Zaden who kept side eying Austin. He will admit that he did go a bit overboard but that should have at least distracted him from harming Remy and Zaden for a while.

Before he went home he changed back to the restaurant uniform and burnt the clothing he wore at a near river before throwing it inside the river and leaving. He made sure he wasn't followed or being watched. His finger prints wouldn't be found since he wore gloves and all.

And Austin's guys aren't so tough when you knocked them unconscious by hitting a few vital points on them. Although he didn't hit them as much as he watched he hit them on their hands where they would be weak for a month.

But remembering what lead to the scars on Austins face pissed him off. He didn't even want to think about it.

"What happened to Austin?" Zaden managing to calm himself down finally asked.

Shrugging his shoulders Cardan replied "I'm not so sure but whatever happened to him he had it coming" Cardan finished.

"I decide to go home early and this is what I miss." Zaden frowned "Why do I always miss the good stuff?" his frown turned into a pout this time as Cardan just laughed.

'I guess training with the Zhang's was worth it in the long run' Cardan internally thought. He once believed that his father dumped him with his uncle so that he could travel with his mother but it wasn't so.

He smiled at the thought.

//Mini side story//

*When Cardan was between the ages of 5*

"It's for training son don't worry in the long run it will all pay off" James said as he patted his son's head.

'Sorry son this father hasn't been able to spend enough time with your mother'

And thus this led to the birth of his two other children he would later lead to join Cardan.

'I love my children but they've been giving me a green hat since they were born they deserve some retribution' James internally thought as he waved tearfully so to his children.
