The crowd stood with baffled expressions, slowly realizing that Xaviera Evans was implying that her own work was too shoddy to be worthy of Mr. Lance Steel's esteemed reputation.
"With the way Evans is talking, could Mr. Lentz have mistaken? Mr. Steel is a master in the field of calligraphy. His works are naturally impeccable. If Xaviera thinks her work is inferior, how could she have stolen one of Mr. Steel's masterpieces?"
After stating this, everyone's gaze inevitably shifted to Lance Steel.
Joan Lentz's complexion altered, and he scolded loudly, "Evans, now that you've been exposed, you're still playing dumb. You dare to mock Mr. Steel's work? In that case, I will present the work at hand for all to see."
"Being just an amateur, how could you possibly create such a flawless masterpiece? Your defense is nothing more than duplicity, only meant to absolve you!"
Immediately afterwards, Joan Lentz ordered the head of the calligraphy department, "Bring forward the given work!"
