Chương 35: Island
Hearing the story of the skeletal guy, both Sanji, and Reiju felt silent, they didn't know what to do.
They had technically been saved by their father's ruthless nature since their father didn't show any emotions towards them and viewed them as tools this allowed them to live but it also left a bitter taste in their mouths.
Reiju immediately understands the words of the person, and acted immediately, so now that you know that he doesn't care for us what are you gonna do with us?
Listening to the slightly cautious tone of the girl Brook stared at her with his hollow eyes.
Suddenly his eyes started to glow glowing crimson.
Thinking that he was about to do something, Reiju slowly started walking back along with her brother with a terrified look.
Looking at the scene Brook started laughing heartily.
"Yohohohohoho"
Looking at the laughing skeleton, the siblings didn't know what to do, they were bewildered, they kept staring between each other and the laughing skeleton.
After laughing, Brook told them in an amused tone."I was just joking around brats, no need to be on guard. I am a pirate from the grand line."
"I am not like this because of an experiment, but due to eating a devil fruit."
Listening to the laugh and reasoning of the skeleton both of them were flabbergasted.
They just looked at the skeleton, who was saying his sad story a few moments ago, but now he was laughing and saying something completely different thing.
Looking distrustful Reiju asked, then why did you come to Germa kingdom and bring us here?
Upon hearing the question Brook took a more serious tone and spoke, "While it is not true that, I had a disease, as you can see my body is a skeleton, so to fix it, I came to Germa kingdom hoping their experiments on human modification could have a solution to my problem."
Taking a break he stared at them with his hallow eyes and continued, "While I didn't find a solution to my problem when I was searching through the research. I realized that he had experimented on his child after searching for a bit more. I also came to find out that he was planning on experimenting on one of the kids who was a failed product.
Pointing at Sanji he continued," It was also there that I learned that you were detained in an underground dungeon and your father was playing to further modify your body, to make you like your siblings."
Hearing that Sanji questioned, "Why would you do that if you are a pirate, aren't pirates bad guys."
Brook sneered at the question, and shouted in a disgusted tone, " I may be a pirate but even I won't stoop so low that I would do such things to a child, so deciding that no child should face such cruel things I decided to rescue you."
Listening to this, Reiju shouted in anger," Then what about me, why did you do all that?"
Looking at the emotional outburst Brook told in a more jovial tone, "Oh about that! well you could say, I was just checking if you had emotions at not since there wasn't a report about you."
"Everything else was just my deduction, I didn't know about your mother, I was just trying to aggregate you into showing your emotions."
Hearing that, Reiju pouted and glared at Brook angrily.
Looking at that, Brook once again laughed.
As he was laughing, Sanji approached him and asked, "You said you were from the grand line didn't you, who have you seen the all blue?"
Looking at the enthusiastic Sanji, Brook replied, " All blue huh! Sorry kid I haven't seen it in the grand line."
Hearing that, Sanji became a bit detected.
Brook continued, "Well just because I have not seen it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Just like how one piece was just a myth until Roger found it and became the pirate king you can also go search for it and find the all-blue."
"By the way, why did you want to know about all blue" Brook inquired.
Due to always being criticized for his dream, Sanji answered in a reserved manner, " I want to become a chef."
So you want to become a cook huh," well kid, work hard enough and I believe that you could become the greatest cook. And when you become the greatest, I shall visit you to have the greatest meal." Brook told in an encouraging tone.
"On that note, I am somewhat of a cook myself, you see."
"I have made a few doughnuts myself," Brook told in a reminiscent tone.
"Really," Sanji asked curiously.
"Hmm, if we get the opportunity I will show you my doughnut-making skills someday," Brook said while laughing.
