Chương 51: Chapter 51 : Sea King

"What is the King of the Near Sea?"

Upon hearing this question, people were left perplexed.

The so-called King of the Near Sea is the term used by the villagers of Windmill Village to refer to a giant eel-like sea creature that resides near their village. In reality, it's just an ordinary sea creature and doesn't even qualify as a sea king, let alone a king.

However, this creature has become a significant problem for the villagers of Windmill Village, causing fear and anxiety among them whenever they venture out to sea for fishing.

But beyond the people of Windmill Village, nobody really knows what the King of the Near Sea is. When they hear that this creature was able to take off one of the arms of the Four Emperors, Shanks, they assume it must be some ferocious sea king.

Discussions ensued:

"I never imagined that Windmill Village would have such a formidable beast. Even the Four Emperors are no match for it."

"I can't believe Red-Haired Shanks sacrificed his arm to save Luffy. No wonder Luffy holds him in such high regard and aspires to become a pirate."

"It seems that there are many things behind the scenes that we don't know. Perhaps we misunderstood Shanks. Without him, Luffy wouldn't have survived the King of the Near Sea. If Garp returned home to find his grandson devoured by the King of the Near Sea, it would undoubtedly be heartbreaking."

"In comparison, being led into the world of pirates is a stroke of luck considering the alternative."

Only Garp's expression seemed peculiar.

Seeing Garp's face, luo ke asked, "Garp, it seems like you know what the King of the Near Sea is. What is it?"

Garp also hesitated to speak ill of Red-Haired Shanks. After all, Shanks had truly saved him, and if it weren't for him, Luffy would have perished in the jaws of the King of the Near Sea.

"The King of the Near Sea is a sea creature from Windmill Village. Back when Luffy was kidnapped by mountain bandits and taken out to sea, it was Red-Haired Shanks who saved him from the jaws of the King of the Near Sea. Otherwise, Luffy would have been eaten by the King of the Near Sea along with those bandits."

However, Garp couldn't wrap his head around it. How could someone as mighty as Red-Haired Shanks have his arm bitten off by a mere King of the Near Sea? If he unleashed his Armament Haki, he could have shattered the teeth of the King of the Near Sea.

Yet, it happened. Red-Haired Shanks did lose his arm to the King of the Near Sea.

And precisely because of this incident, Luffy's admiration for Shanks reached its peak. Since then, no matter what Garp did, he couldn't change Luffy's aspirations.

Garp felt helpless about it.

At times, he even suspected that this kid was playing a trick on him, using a self-inflicted injury to lure his grandson.

But in this world, would anyone really sacrifice their own arm just to lure a child?

No way, right?

Perhaps it was truly an accident... That's the only explanation Garp could come up with. And because of that, Garp didn't hold any grudges against Shanks afterward. After all, in this matter, Garp indeed owed Shanks.

Otherwise, if it were just the crime of Shanks kidnapping his precious grandson, it would be enough for Garp to chase him all over the world. It wouldn't be a lover's quarrel like with Roger; it would be a genuine invitation for Shanks to step into the city and face the consequences.

Sengoku, upon hearing Garp's explanation, thought it was a ferocious sea creature and didn't dwell on it. He was more concerned about Shanks saving Luffy and was surprised to learn about this connection.

Initially, he thought Shanks lost his arm due to a fight with Mihawk, but now it turned out he lost it for the sake of Luffy. This meant that Garp and Mihawk actually owed Shanks a debt of gratitude, didn't it?

This is something to be cautious about.

A leader of the Revolutionary Army and one of the Four Emperors having a connection is definitely something to be concerned about. It could potentially lead to major troubles in the future.

During the live broadcast, Luo Ke heard Luffy's answer and gave an affirmative response.

"Correct answer! Now, please listen to the next question.

Question: Monkey D. Luffy, captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, has two brothers. Apart from his older brother Ace, where is his other brother currently?"

There are four options:

a) Deceased.

b) Serving as a commander in the Red-Haired Pirates.

c) Holding the rank of Rear Admiral in the Marine Headquarters.

d) Acting as the Chief of Staff in the Revolutionary Army."

Luffy actually has another brother?!

Everyone was surprised by this revelation. Did Garp also have another grandson?

When they heard the four options for the question, they couldn't help but feel speechless.

These options were too incredible.

Except for the first option of being deceased, one was a commander in one of the Four Emperors' crews, another was a Rear Admiral in the Marine Headquarters, and the third option was even more astonishing – being the Chief of Staff in the Revolutionary Army.

What does it mean to be a Chief of Staff? In comparison to the Marine Headquarters, where Sengoku is Fleet Admiral, the Chief of Staff is Vice Admiral Tsuru, who serves as the brain of the Navy, with the power to influence Navy decisions.

Although the Revolutionary Army is far from being on par with the Navy, they are still a force that spans the four seas and is the number one enemy of the World Government. How could a teenager under the age of twenty become the Chief of Staff for such an organization?

The three brothers are really something else.

Ace, as the Second Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates, is already quite extraordinary.

However, while others were unaware, Sengoku knew one thing – the Chief of Staff of the Revolutionary Army was indeed a young person. However, his identity, appearance, and everything about him were unknown. Therefore, he hadn't been exposed publicly and there was no official bounty issued for him. Sengoku learned about it through information from the Cipher Pol (CP) side.

Could this be true?

Could it be that Dragon had another illegitimate child?
