Sorin couldn't ignore the feeling of elation rising in his chest. A dizzying sensation that left him wanting for more as he watched the baron struggle helplessly around the cell.

Viktor cursed at him.

Then he cursed at the Gods.

Sorin's expression remained the same, the same, the smile on his lips not disappearing as he stared at the man with wide, unblinking eyes.

"Y-You heretic!" Viktor screamed at him, slamming his hand on the metal bars "Where am I? Where did you take me?" he demanded.

"Why are you so bothered? You'll both be facing the same fate anyways. You die at the guillotine or you die by my hands." he said in a calm tone.

Viktor's face paled as he faced Sorin before he let out another frustrated scream. He had always seen the Saint as a gullible man, a simple person who would always stick to his duties.

But it was far from the truth, the Saint that everyone knew was merely a facade. A mask that he used to manipulate everyone.

Eviana was incoherent at that point as she sat quietly in the corner of the room as if she had accepted her fate. She was listening to their conversations, not once mustering up the courage to say a single word.

How far did Felix threaten her?

"You dirty Saint! You were the devil all along, deceiving the common people." Viktor pointed his finger accusingly at him.

Sorin could only sputter out a laugh at the man's foolish words. He couldn't believe how self-righteous this man was.

"Ah, I'm not deceiving anyone, Lord Viktor. I'm simply doing my job as the servant of the Gods, punishing the sins of

people like you." he chided.

"You speak of Gods but I know you do not worship them."

Those words only irked something in Sorin. He had done everything the Gods had asked him in his previous life... but all he got was a twisted betrayal.

One that had cost him the lives of people that shouldn't even be involved.

He quickly glanced at the stigmata on his palm, the black color of the scar reminded him of Lucifer's promise. The small thought was comforting.

"Let's not speak blasphemy here, Lord Viktor... or else you won't enter the promised land," he said mockingly.

A clicking sound echoed in the room.

Felix's shoes sounded behind Sorin, holding a small lantern in his hands as he entered the room. He eyed the prisoners before grinning, revealing his sharp teeth "They're awake." he purred.

Sorin turned to face Felix, a fond smile spreading across his face "Right on time!" he exclaimed happily.

The red-haired man bowed his head apologetically "I'm sorry I couldn't arrive earlier, I helped Willow with rearranging some furniture."

"That's my bad, Felix. I gave everyone the orders too late."

They ignored the man behind them as they started to converse casually about the menial tasks around the manor. It might have sparked something in Viktor as he started to scream for help.

Interrupting the conversation between the two. Felix scratched the back of his neck in frustration "Shut up!" he glowered at Viktor.

Eviana then scrambled to grab Viktor by the arm "D-dear, please stop." she said shakily, not once looking at Felix. Sorin could only watch in amusement when Viktor pushed the poor woman away.

The smell of fear and anxiety lingered in the air, it was... intoxicating.

"Enough playing around." Sorin's voice cut through the air, his expression devoid of any sympathy.

He turned to Viktor "I'm pretty sure you remember me, Lord Viktor?" he asked the man.

Viktor could only nod in response, of course, he couldn't forget the Saint "Y-you were one of the children of the orphanage." he answered meekly.

"Yes, Theorim Orphanage. A small, wooden building at the end of the village where abandoned children were taken care of... still, the children there did not experience an easy life." Sorin said his eyes narrowing at Viktor.

"There were barely any necessities, nor food for the children. During the cold winters, no blankets or any sort of protection were given to the children..." he paused for a second, reminiscing his time at the orphanage.

Tap.

His fingers clicked on his chair as he continued speaking watching the slightest shift in Viktor's expression "Yet, we all survived and we were simply alright with each other's company."

Tap. Tap. Tap.

"You see, when I was taken away by the temple, I know that they had paid you well for taking good 'care' of me."

Viktor's face contorted to that of unease and guilt, as he stammered out a defense "T-the town of Theorim had suffered a financial loss after a disaster struck the town... we couldn't have enough funds for the orphanage."

Tap.

"Let's ignore that for a second, Lord Viktor." Sorin cut him off with a vicious smile "I'm talking here~"

Sorin then leaned closer to the metal bars of the cell as if he was taunting the shaking man in front of him. Like a predator cornering its prey.

"Then you couldn't find any use for the orphanage anymore. Not when you have more money than any donations could bring you, so you decided to end it with an 'accident'." His gaze towards the man was filled with resentment hidden behind his smile.

A tense silence filled the room as Eviana locked eyes with Viktor, the older man's face was that of desperation but Soriin could not find a hint of remorse.

"Am I right, Lord Viktor?"

Viktor's gaze fell to the floor at the accusation "...No..."

Then insides of the cell changed, turning to that of the empty wooden orphanage before the fire started blazing around the couple. Flames licked at their skin and their entire body, the pain evident in their screaming voices.

"I said, Am I right?"

The burning continued, and the onslaught of agony continued to rise as the blaze burned hotter. Echoes of children's screams filled Viktor and Eviana's ears.

A lone tear fell down Sorin's cheeks as he mourned for the children who died in that fire, the innocent children who he had spent his childhood with.

"Ah...Ahk... Yes... Yes...Please, enough, enough." Viktor begged.

In an instant, it was gone. The scenery returned to the normal dim cell and their body remained uninjured as Sorin gave them a satisfied smile "It was not that hard, was it?" he asked mockingly.

Eviana threw up in the corner of the room as she continued to cry. Viktor's breathing was rapid and panicked, falling to the ground with a horrified expression on his face.

"I'm going to ask you questions and you are going to answer. If not then, you'll know the consequences." Sorin ordered them, the two could only stare at him.

"Nod your head," he said harshly.

Felix sputtered out a hidden laugh behind Sorin as if he was enjoying the desperation and fear in their eyes.

"Did you enjoy exploiting those children, Lord Viktor?"

Viktor's shoulders slumped as the weight of his past actions suddenly settled upon him "W-what?" he asked shakily.

The Saint's gaze was empty as Sorin studied Viktor's words intently before a sigh escaped his lips. Felix then waved his hands before stepping inside the cell.

The creaking of the metal doors sealed their fate with him.

Eviana then fell to her knees, her dirtied dress dragged across the floor as she tried to push herself away from Felix as much as possible.

His aide enjoyed it. It was a way for him to release his anger and frustration, especially since they still have a lot to do until their plans of revenge could be set into motion for those who killed his entire kin.

Sorin doesn't like dirtying his hands.

He'll do it if he has to but Viktor does not deserve it.

"I'm going to ask again, okay?" he said in a chiding tone as if he was talking to a child "Did you enjoy the suffering of those vulnerable children? The pleasure you feel when you overpower them?"

Viktor shook his head.

Then Felix's sharp nails pierced directly through his shoulders, just enough to give him a little bit of pain. Still, the man was too weak as he writhed down on the ground.

"What?" Felix huffed in an annoyed voice, pulling away from the man "That wasn't even–"

Sorin let out a delighted laugh "Oh dear, it's not gonna work. Get out, Felix." he motioned for his aide to leave the cell. The red-haired man instantly followed his order with a confused expression.

Dark magic whipped through the air as hundreds of the same, centipede-like demonic beasts slithered on the ground "They are so useful, Lord Viktor." he explained "Small enough to be undetected by the hunters around the capital and they feed on human flesh."

The demonic beast surrounded the couple, immediately feasting on their flesh "They especially like sinful humans like you, the perfect breeding ground."

Through their screams, Sorin asked again "Yes or no, Lord Viktor?"

Viktor's voice trembled as he struggled to speak coherently "Y-Yes. I did. I did. I enjoyed every last minute of it b-but I didn't kill them. I-It was Eviana!" he pointed his fingers to his sobbing wife.

"And he speaks!" Felix clapped.

The woman was busy trying to drive away the beasts from her to even understand what Viktor had said.

Viktor continued "S-she was the one who takes the children. She drains them of their blood and uses it to bathe."

Eviana screamed amidst her agony "Liar! Liar!" her face distorted by fear.

Sorin's expression dropped, satisfied at the man's confession as he finally found enough reason to make the man suffer a fate worse than death.

Death would be too kind, too merciful.

Eternal Damnation wouldn't even be enough to satiate Sorin's thirst for their suffering.

Tap.

Their screams were ignored as Sorin contemplated what he should do with them. The depths of their sins and depravity meant that their punishment should be fitting as well.

Grotesque forms writhed and twisted around the walls before they were transported to an empty landscape. Devoid of any sort of human life forms "Since you indulged in children's suffering, the same should be done."

He flicked his wrist before the demonic beast slowly retreated from their flesh, leaving the two gasping for breath as their bodies were ravaged in terror.

"A breeding ground for these adorable beasts." Sorin smiled at them, sadistic pleasure evident in his eyes "Repent while you'll your flesh would be the food for their children."

Eviana screamed in despair, begging for her life.

"They grow into wonderful creatures, so you two properly take care of them. Be useful to their children."

Then the demonic beast continued with their feast, shrieks and screams filled the realm. Sorin knew that the two felt remorse and guilt only when they receive punishment.

"As long, as the beasts find you useful. You won't die, you'll continue as their breeding ground. Unable to run away and do anything."

Sorin bid a quick goodbye to the two, as the scene around him shifted again.

He was met with Felix, sitting down on his chair with a bored expression.

Sorin reveled in their suffering, satisfaction ran through his veins like a drug. Those two will serve their purpose well, he couldn't wait to see those demonic beasts grow under their careful guidance.

He gave Felix a smile "Did you wait long?"

Felix snorted in response, ignoring Sorin's question "What did you do with them?"

"I gave them a better purpose, a chance to redeem themselves." He grinned at Felix as he took out a white handkerchief from his pocket.

Sorin then gently wiped the blood away from Felix's hands, watching the puzzled expression on the man's face "Ah, I'm so happy, Felix."

Felix have no way to know the fate of those two humans but just seeing the smile on Sorin's face was enough.

He still couldn't help but wonder what their 'purpose' was. Truly, Sorin is such a generous Saint. Still finding redemption for those dirty humans.

As Sorin's wiped away the remaining blood off Felix's fingers, he let out a laugh. The same laugh he had before he had changed, light and pure.

Lucifer's voice echoed in Sorin's mind;

『What a vicious Saint you are.』
