Never in her life had she anticipated to hear the things that had  come from Rhyland's mouth. The man was single handedly responsible for so many deaths and imprisonments. Yes, werewolves weren't human but their lives also mattered. But Rhyland had summarily ordered the killing of dozens of werewolves without batting an eye. How was he any different from his uncle, Rhal Darling?

It was simply unbelievable. Aubrey shook her head in dismay. It was like Rhyland was a whole different person after he had taken the position of clan head and council leader. Sadly, it was true that absolute power corrupts absolutely. She had wished for things to be different.
