Chương 110: Fight!

Beside Ryomaru, Miori's grip tightened on his hand, her expression a mix of fear and defiance. She may not have had the combat prowess of her son, but her love for him gave her courage.

Danzo took a step forward, his lone eye locking onto Ryomaru's ice-blue ones. "You see, Ryomaru, I have no intention of keeping you by my side. However, you will serve me, and in return, I will let you go. To ensure your compliance," Danzo's gaze shifted to Miori, a sly smirk forming on his face, "I'll be keeping your mother as collateral."

Ryomaru's heart raced as a surge of anger welled up within him. Letting go of his mother's hand, he took a deep breath, trying to rein in the torrent of emotions threatening to spill over. "Mum, support me," he whispered.

Miori nodded, her ice-blue eyes glinting with determination. She channeled her chakra, and in mere moments, the area around them was surrounded by tens of reflective mirrors. She quickly stepped into one, her form fading into the reflection.

With a burst of energy, Ryomaru activated his Lightning Chakra Cloak Mode for the second time that day. Despite the strain it put on his young body, he knew it was the only chance they had.

Ryomaru didn't hesitate. Ducking into one of the myriad mirrors, he reemerged instantly from another positioned directly above an unsuspecting ROOT agent. Time seemed to slow for a split second before he plummeted downwards, lightning enveloping his hand which effortlessly pierced through the man's heart. The agent crumpled before anyone could even register what had transpired.

A tumultuous roar shattered the momentary stillness. "Destroy the mirrors!" Danzo commanded, his voice dripping with fury.

But the mirrors weren't just reflective surfaces. They had been infused with Miori's chakra, which made them formidable assets in combat. As the ROOT agents approached the mirrors, their own reflections contorted grotesquely, throwing them off and causing confusion in their ranks.

This was Miori's unique application of the Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals. Having been taught by Ryomaru, she added her own twist, intertwining the mirror technique with her exceptional skill in Genjutsu. Miori's unique adaptation of the Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals technique was breathtaking. Combining her own depth in genjutsu with the mirrors' reflective abilities, the illusion became nearly indistinguishable from reality. To those ensnared, the mirrors weren't just mirrors anymore; they were gateways to haunting reflections of themselves, tormenting their minds and contorting their sense of reality.

As ROOT agents stared into the mirrors, they were met with nightmarish illusions that bound them, rendering them paralyzed. While they were trapped in their own fears, Miori seized the opportunity. Parts of her manifested outside the mirrors - her hands, slicing the air and attacking agents with razor-like precision, while her head peeked out to ensure she wasn't missing any adversaries.

Ryomaru, having activated his Lightning Chakra Cloak, wasn't going to let his mother fight alone. Utilizing the speed granted by his mode, he darted in and out of the mirrors, using them as cover and attacking from blind spots. The son and mother duo, backed by the illusionary world of mirrors, formed a fearsome combination.

Danzo's rage was palpable as he witnessed his men fall one by one, ensnared in Miori's trap. "Focus! They're just illusions!" he barked.

But his words fell on deaf ears, the psychological weight of the illusions too much for some. As one agent hesitated, his mind grappling with the disturbing reflections, Ryomaru appeared behind him, striking him down before vanishing back into the mirrors.

One of the ROOT agents, trying to break free from the illusions, threw a shuriken directly at a mirror, aiming for Miori. With every ROOT agent dispatched, the courtyard became eerily silent. The only figure still standing amidst the icy mirrors was Danzo, his expression unreadable. He didn't revel in seeing his men get defeated, but faced with Ryomaru's speed, he had avoided engaging, preserving a secret weapon.

Danzo's voice, stern and deep, pierced the quiet, "Enough games."

Ryomaru, having not a moment to rest, watched intently as Danzo began unwrapping the bandages that concealed his right eye. The chilling sight of a three-tomoe Sharingan met them. Ryomaru's heart skipped a beat. "A Sharingan?" he muttered, understanding the gravity of the situation.

Danzo's gaze was fixed on the mirror's surface, the Sharingan's power negating the genjutsu illusions, rendering Miori's technique ineffective. "Your tricks won't work anymore," he declared coldly.

Ryomaru gritted his teeth, "Mum, stay behind me!" He darted towards the mirrors, trying to maintain the element of surprise. But with the Sharingan's precognitive abilities, Danzo could now predict and counter Ryomaru's every move.

Miori, seeing the threat, shouted, "Ryomaru, be careful!"

Danzo smirked. "You thought these mirrors would protect you?" He lunged forward, countering Ryomaru's strikes, making the young boy work twice as hard to defend.

The electric hum of Ryomaru's Thunderpulse Chakra Cloak filled the courtyard. The resonating pulses echoed against the surrounding walls, creating an arena of stormy tension between him and Danzo.

Ryomaru darted toward Danzo, who stood with his Sharingan exposed. The cloak left a trail of deep purples and blues in Ryomaru's wake, reminiscent of a stormy sky. Danzo anticipated Ryomaru's first strike, effortlessly dodging it. With his enhanced reflexes, Ryomaru twisted his body mid-air, aiming a spinning kick towards Danzo's head.

Danzo blocked, but as he did, the Echoing Pulse from Ryomaru's cloak sent a shockwave through him. Stumbling back, he grunted in surprise.

"Not bad," Danzo commented. "But it will take more than fancy tricks to defeat me."

Ryomaru lunged forward, aiming for a Thunderclap Fist. The cloak's energy pulsed around his fist as he thrust it forward, aiming to deliver the powerful blow. Danzo, aware of the impending damage, countered with a series of wind blades aimed at Ryomaru's limbs. But Ryomaru's enhanced reflexes allowed him to dodge, barely grazing him.

The courtyard echoed with the sounds of thunderous clashes and sharp wind slashes. Miori, her motherly instincts at their peak, watched anxiously from the sideline, a protective wall of ice forming around her.

Suddenly, a sharp gust of wind surrounded Danzo, and with a swift motion, he lunged at Ryomaru, sending a barrage of kunai his way. Ryomaru, tapping into his Sonic Boom ability, released a tremendous wave of energy. The sonic boom sent the kunai off their intended path and pushed Danzo back.
