Chương 24: Arrival
Jack stared at the approaching blur lost in his thought, Jack momentarily averted his gaze as he gained clarity and looked down. To his horror, he found himself face to face with an open monster maw, inches away from ripping his head off. The sight sent a jolt through his body.

Instinct kicked in, John slammed his right hand onto the upper jaw of the creature, desperately trying to close its mouth shut. Adrenaline surged through his veins as he fought against the immense strength of the beast.
The monster let out a guttural growl, its hot breath washing over John's face. The stench was overpowering, but he refused to let stink dissuade him. With every ounce of strength he could muster, John pushed against the creature's jaw, feeling his muscles strain under the pressure.
Finally, with one last surge of energy, John managed to force the creature's jaws shut. The sound of teeth grinding against each other echoed through the night air. He stepped back, and redialed his hands.

A red Saber formed in his hands and with a thrust, he sent the blade into the Creature left eye, the blade tore through the Creature like butter, a notification pop up in front of his vision.

Jack felt a slight headache creeping up on him. Ignoring it at first, he tried to read the rest of the notifications. However, the headache intensified, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.
Suddenly, the scenery around him shifted. The murky swamp faded away, replaced by a dimly lit grand room with golden walls and heavy velvet curtains, adorned with opulent chandeliers and intricately designed tapestries.
And there she stood before him, her face bathed in dim light. She was dressed in an alluring black gown that accentuated her curves, her dark hair cascading down her shoulders like a waterfall.
Jack stared at her as their gaze met, he tried to comprehend how he had ended in her place. Celine approached him with a mixture of concern and affection in her eyes. "Jack," she said softly, her voice filled with both relief and worry, "I've been searching for you everywhere. Are you alright?".
Jack wanted to lash out at her but when he took in her new look, he felt an ache in his chest, he didn't know why he felt like this.
Celine's face, once vibrant and full of life, now bears the unmistakable signs of exhaustion and sleep deprivation. Her normally smooth complexion appears dull and lackluster.
The most striking feature were her eyes. Once bright and expressive, they now appear bloodshot and sunken, surrounded by dark circles that seem to deepen with each passing hour.
"What's wrong Celine?"Jack asked.
Celine opened her mouth but words never came out. suddenly, as if pulled from a dream, Celine abruptly pulled away from Jack. Her eyes widened with a mix of hate and determination as she stared at a shadow on the wall.
The shadow began to shift and contort, turning into an eerie white shadow. It seemed to pulsate with an otherworldly energy, captivating Jack'ss attention. As he watched in awe, a lady emerged from within the shadow, stepping into the room then another lady stepped into the room right behind her.
The first lady, wore a sleek red and form-fitting jumpsuit made from a high-tech fabric. The material was lightweight yet durable, allowing her to move swiftly and effortlessly.
The second lady, sported a more edgy and magical ensemble. She wore a blue dress made from a flexible yet resilient material that resembled liquid water. The dress had an iridescent quality, reflecting light in mesmerizing patterns as she moved. Embedded within the fabric were tiny crystals that would occasionally change color and intensity, creating a dazzling visual display.
The lady in front revealed a face that completely shocked Jack. It was his Celine's face, but with a striking difference - her hair was pure white, contrasting sharply against her complexion.
"Are you sure we should be doing this Lady Celesta?" Salle asked.
"Of course I just want to introduce myself to the boy". Celesta answered.
Celesta smiled as she gracefully stepped back avoiding a shadow blade inches away from sinking into her neck, the blade ram into a wall and shattered it.
" That's no way to treat a guest Celine, I just want to talk."
"Yeah! you want to talk and you brought a tag along as back up and that face you wearing says otherwise." Jack said while folding his hands.
"You can see me?." Salle asked as she pointed at herself while shifting her position. Familiars while in their secondary form can only be seen by demons or a higher rank and those with high concentration of Church essence like a Church General and other high ranking members like a warrior nun or the pope.
"Well hiding behind someone's back doesn't makes you invisible." Jack answered with obvious Sarcasm.
Celesta stared at Jack with a bright smile. "Oh! you're different from the rest of humanity, now I understand why she chose to bond with you."
"ARRRRRGGGHH"
A scream echoed through the room as Celine forcefully held Salle against a wall with a firm grip on her neck, no one could comprehend what just happened, she was here and now she was there.
Salle stared at Celesta with pleading eyes, Celine was going to kill her after all. killing a familiar just send them back to their host spiritual core, but since Celine already killed her when they fought in the academy woods, if she dies again she will have to stay in Celesta spiritual core for months so she can heal.
"This is a little payment Salle." Celine said as the veins on her right hand turned dark and her fingers elongated pulsating with darkness she slashed at Salle's head but she turned into a a kaleidoscope of colourful butterflies and flew straight into Celesta forming a beautiful butterfly tattoo on her neck.
Jack stared at Celesta. "Now it all makes sense_She is the new Master."
Celine turned back and stared at Celesta."I wanted to save yours for last."
Celesta raised her hands like a child caught in the act."Celine I'm you made from you and I'm also bonded to him, I promise to purnish the fairy for what she did, she wanted to prove to me your growth wasn't stagnant anymore, so just let me talk to him okay."
"So your are also Celine."
Celesta stared at Jack. " Yes but I'm hotter and I taste better than Celine. Celesta ended with a wink which made Celine face turned bright red.
Plonk!
"Argh"
Celine punched Celesta on the head but it wasn't hard like he expected, for some reason he couldn't understand this change.
"Anymore stupid words and I will rip out you tongue." Celine said bluntly.
"So what are you?" Jack asked.
" I'm a revenant but unlike revenant that don't grow after being reborn, I'm special cause I'm a split personality, I was born a half_demon while Celine was born a meth-human an impossible phenomenal when she became half_ demon I became a revenant and gained my own body and my growth is tied to her as long as she evolves." Celesta said.
" How the hell do you expect him to understand all that?. Celine shook her head.
Jack smiled. " If you are a revenant that means you not human and have no ties to a human body, you are only a half_demon by race that means the digital watch isn't supposed to work on you."
Jack intelligence has increased a lot after he extracted Jonathan's Talent, he didn't know why but came to the conclusion that he is also able to absorbs stats along with talent and since his system doesn't show any stats there was no way to confirm this.
Celesta smiled brightly showing her fangs for some reason Jack thought they were cute. " You have quite some knowledge about revenants.
When I got to earth I read a human mind and got some knowledge about the academy so I pretended to be a draft evader and I got abducted by the academy guards them I used my charm skills one on of the generals of Masters academy IV and made them input the information I wanted into the master academy server and then I found out Celine was at Masters academy I, it took some time to find and I easily passed through the barrier of the academy cause it was detailed magic and revenants were not included and my watch is an illusion revenant are good at such things, since I was never registered I don't have a place. Celesta stared at Jack with puppy eyes there were traces of seduction behind those eyes " So can I stay at your place?."
Celine eyebrows twitched she wanted to say something but Jack beat her to it.
He raised his hand and showed her his watch. "I have no talent so I share a room with three masters."
Oh! but you_I can feel your essence are you sure the watch not faulty, well since that's the case then I guess I will be staying with Celine. Celesta said.
Jack stared at Celine, she was boiling red and dark smoke were oozing out of her whole body.

It was now Sunday morning and the Generals of all Masters Academy including Fiona Scath had all gathered inside the portal hall. Four of the second year General stood on one side and four of the first year General stood on the opposite side, forming two lines in front of a portal... General and acting Supreme Commander Fulcan was not part of this formation and it didn't surprise any of the Generals cause General Fulcan always did what he wanted because he was a Saint rank human and he thinks he owns the Academy. at least that was what most Generals believed.
General Fulcan is an oddity being first in the Masters Academy with Saint human rank, due to the only gateway humanity conquered that leads to the Ivory tower being guarded by the three great clans, one must align themselves and sign a pact with the Clan to pass through the gateway and take the Heaven test to increase their rank. The academy wanted to remain independent, all the General including the Supreme Commander were Masters at the level limit.
Three years ago the Academy's Supreme Commander Arnold Waltz adopted Fulcan, Fulcan became his only son and was made a General. When the Academy Generals found out about his rank, Fulcan became a mystery cause if a human got up to the Saint rank they are bound to one of the clans cause that's one of the pacts the Clans give before you are allowed access to the gateway to the Ivory tower.
Shortly after Fulcan was made General, Supreme Commander Arnold Waltz signed a pact with an unknown clan and disappeared, General Fulcan became acting Supreme Commander of the Masters Academy and made Fiona Scath the Director because she was Arnold Waltz adviser which not every General agreed with but they could never say that to him. One of the conditions of the signed pact being that the Masters Academy will give most of the low talent rank masters to the Clan every year.
Each of Generals had straightened postures and were unmoveable, assuming their best attitude before the single portal. The said portal had been pulled out and placed in the centre of the room. Although the colour of this portal was neither green, Orange, nor red, it was hued in the purity of white, making it look like a blank canvas.
"Del, I hope you already have everything prepared, yes?" Fiona Scath asked.
"Yes, everything is proceeding well and we should reach the quota as usual. All the Masters will gather in the assembly hall this afternoon. We shall advance with everything else right after." Del replied.
" You always say that right before you mess everything up." Said Fiona, looking at another comrade next. her face brighten a little. "Sasha Grey, how are the preparations for the upcoming event going?"
Del eyebrows twitched, he shook his head.' It's not worth breaking the rules'. he thought.
"Not to worry, we still have a leeway of a month before the event. Masters will be able to choose which events they want to participate in soon. I'm sure that we'll come out on top this year - I know we will." Sasha said
"Sasha, I'm afraid I have some bad news for you." Said Fiona Scath. "The upcoming Dungeon outing for the first-year masters, it will not be an explored E level dungeon like how we originally planned it, but it will be an C level explored dungeon instead."
Hearing this, Sasha's eyes widened. "Fiona, this is crazy! They're only first-year students. Why do we need to push them so fast?"
"There are reports that the Nephilims are becoming more aggressive with their exploration and at times been spotted close to the earth trajectory, we have reasons to believe there are human ranks working for them. We must compete with them. This order has been made by all of us, so we must push more and at the same time, we can not afford to be caught Slacking cause the numbers of people who pass the Heaven trial keeps reducing every year. Earth is the number one priority and we must protect it at all cost."
"So we should to sacrifice teenagers instead!" Sasha complained back, utterly distraught by the news.
"War will soon be waged and the Nephilims do not discriminate, whether they are teenagers or not. Age will not matter to them when that time comes. It's better that they get the experience now. You can chooseto send a couple of professors with them for their safeguarding or you can go with them if you want."
"Don't you think you are doing it all wrong?, they won't get any points from killing mutations in the Dungeon."
Rusev added.
Fiona stared at the man. brown skin, goatee long cascading beard and moustache and blonde hair. he is wearing a blue-black suit.
" The masters need experience first, and the mutations will give them battle insight, then they can hunt the Dark seal in the region after they've explored the dungeon." Fiona Said.
The generals now stood a few feet away from the rune teleport format. Fiona lifted her wrist to look at her watch, checking the time - It was currently 8:59.
9:00
As soon as the watch displayed 9:00, the portal started to warp slightly, and three figures could be seen coming through. Standing in the centre was a Woman, with yellow and brown braid who wore sunglasses and she had also donned a suit.
" Mazuki " Greeted Fiona. "It's been a while." She said as she went to the others and gave them a hug.
Although Mazuki didn't look impressive by herself, the two women who came out of the portal beside her did. One of them was a large fellow whose height was nearly seven feet. She was completely covered in a grey coloured Dark seal equipment, which looked similar to a bear, while she carried a large two-handed axe on his back.
By her side was an individual who was the complete opposite, a small skinny fellow. This person was wearing Dark seal equipment that was dark green in hue and had a mask covering her lower face,on her mask was an engraved phyton. Although, instead of a heavy armour like the other person, she wore light armour.
However, just from gazing at both of their equipment, they were high-level Dark seal gear, way beyond that of the advanced tier.
Mazuki's gaze lingered on General Del before scanning the room. " Fulcan won't welcome me? "
Fiona Scath made a short now. " Fulcan won't be happy if I don't treat you."
How about some breakfast together? My chiefs have prepared a great meal." Fiona asked.
"No thanks" Mazuki replied. "I was actually hoping to speak to General Del.
Fiona stared at Del. 'Why will she want to speak to Del?. She thought.
"Oh, You will if that's want you want." Fiona said.
