Chương 23: Tow a Corpse
As Jack scanned the map for guidance, he noticed that all the areas closer to the Citadel were more green while the areas that were a bit further away were redder. The one area which had the darkest red of them all was the wilderness and masters where advised to stay away, a sensor was integrated into their digital watch it would ping if they entered the wilderness.
" Did you need a weapon Jack?" Daniel asked.
" I'm not really good with them." Jack replied absentmindedly.
While the Asura and Daniel was discussing how they should make sure to always remember Jack is not like them and should be protected all the time, Jack Opened a mail giving to the members of the group after signing for the Quest on his master's digital watch, there was a Dark Sealiary. It contained information on all the Dark seals in the area of the quest they took and a map to the swamp where the dark seal they were hunting inhabits.
"So Jack what did you do to get Sasha to join?, she has been smiling for sometime which has never ever happened when she is with us. Daniel leaned in and nudged his shoulder.
Jack looked behind him to see Sasha smiling broading as she stared at sky, she is probably staring at something in her system and legion walking behind her with his hands folded. "I gave her a gift".
I didn't know you such a playboy Jack. Asura said with a strange smile on her face. she leaned in before whispering." Be careful Jack Celine will not hesitate to kill you and dump you in dumpster."
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA" Daniel laughed.
Jack stared at the blue holographic screen displayed above him projected by his academy digital watch.

"Oh! at least someone is taking this Quest seriously". Asura said with a smile.

Jack shook his head. "Why did they have such miniature information on the King Draken."
"To make it more fun I guess, I'm only here because of the rumoured king-tier Dark seal." Asura said.
The group had finally reached the exit of the Citadel where several guards stood with different weapons. The whole shelter was surrounded by Zastathum, The strongest metal in the Null_realm. So the place was impenetrable.
And even then stood up on the wall there were two Mechadroid, They are just as powerful as level 5 masters and they look human except for their glowing green eyes and the MR engraved on their neck. One of the creation of the Creationist Maxwell Render a creationist under Clan Drakka. After declaring they wished to go outside the gates were opened and the group was free to travel.
The area they were going to pass before reaching the swamp on the map was a small little oasis. There was a hill of sand, and just over it was a pool of water and the first bit of greenery scattered all around the place. Sure enough, though they weren't the only group that was here and it looked like the other groups were already engaged in combat.
The area was filled with beasts known as Sand worms. They would travel under sand and were not easy to spot which was strange even the sand remains the same showing no signs of movement. When they were close enough, they would pop out from the sand and open their circular mouth, displaying thousands of small razor-sharp teeth inside.
The worms were about the same size as an average dog but were tricky to deal with for some, as the only time they would emerge from the sand was when they would attack.
Daniel stood in front of Jack and stayed in the middle while he allowed for the others to attack the worms. Asura weaved a blade from her inventory, Legion and Sasha didn't have to lift a finger to deal with the worms. The worms either exploded upon getting close to them or get turned apart. There was no need for Asura to even use her blade, so she dismissed it and started hacking them with her hands which for some reason tore through them like butter.
Jack, on the other hand, had to watch from behind Daniel's back which he didn't complain the blood of the sand worms stinks. When they jumped from the sand, the attack was fast, and they would soon be inside the sand again but against the group it was useless they would get pulled out of the ground by an invisible force and ripped apart.
" Yeah Sasha." Daniel screamed.
Jack stared at Daniel while he acted like a sportsman who placed a bet on Sasha.
The sun was already down when the group completely slayed multiple sand worms and left the Oasis, as they continued on their journey a sand worm with attack them from time to time until it finally got annoying, the slightest vibrations would cause them to react, thinking food was nearby, springing upon its prey and attacking them. They didn't have the hindsight to attack together maybe they could have fared better.
While the group continued their Journey towards the swamp, one of the worms managed to wiggle past their formation and was heading straight for Jack.
"Damn it! That one went right past me." Daniel said as she turned around and saw who the worm's new target was.
Daniel watched the scene with the other B_level talent rank, they weren't bothered they could save him at anytime if he couldn't handle the worm but what happened next shocked them_ the few interested ones.. Daniel and Asura.
Jack raised his hand and slapped the sand worm away, as it exploded into bits Jack wriggled his hands to get rid of the black blood.

Asura smiled. This was one of the reason why she like Jack cause he always piqued her interest by doing the unexplainable and decided to watch him but ever since Celine came into the picture no matter how carefully hidden she was, she would spot her and wave to her which should be impossible cause the Sekhmet clan technique allows them to be invisible to the human eye which made her cautious of Celine. it was enough reason to make her stop but she could watch him now that Celine was not here.
As they approached it was evident they have reached the levitated valley which defiled physis, shrouded by multiple floating broken rocks of different shapes it looks like someone ripped it out of the earth and the swamp was Just beneath it, which means they have to fly or jump down.
Daniel smiled. " Jack are you afraid of height? "
Jack stared at the swamp below, abandoned buildings with strange architectural designs littered around. The swamp was shrouded on all edges by impregnable darkness, staring at the darkness sent shiver down his spine it was like a Creature was down there waiting for a prey to fall into the darkness.
Jack continued to stared at the swamp, he saw movement then when the figure stepped out of the parts obstructed by the shadow of one of the abandoned building_it was a humanoid.
Jack stared until he could see the blue tracksuit and a man walking with his hands crossed. " How did Legion get down there?." Jack mumbled.
A thunder bolt passed right beside Jack. he flinched and looked and was able to catch a glimpse of a man shrouded in blue lighting crashed into the swamp while performing an impressive landing stance.
They heard a booming call but for some reasons it was louder than it was supposed to sound judging that it was coming from way below.
"Hey guys are you coming or not." Daniel said.
Asura weaved a rope out of her inventory and jumped she performed an impressive stunt and turned, the rope lit up a golden glow, releasing the rope with her left hand which stuck into the levitated valley while holding the other end with her right hand she fell a straight line when she landed on the swamp she dismissed the rope.
Jack took a deep breath and ran towards the edge and jumped, he bit his tongue so he won't scream but_ he was falling way to slow, he opened his eyes and stared at the swamp below, he was slowly descending into then he raised his head and saw Sasha descending behind him at the same pace. " I thought she had already left with the rest. Jack thought.
When Jack landed he wanted to say thank you but Sasha just walked past him.
" Okay let's get the party started." Daniel said.

The group have been walking for some time but haven't found any Draken. Daniel was constantly demolishing the abandoned buildings with surge lighting bolts. Daniel hands lit up as he redialed it to another building, The glow on Daniel hands abruptly dimes as he stared at Legion he caught him stare at a place before he lost interest, that was enough for Daniel.
Daniel ran towards the place while screaming. " Our boy Legion found one".
The group followed and when they got closer they could see Daniel grinning while staring at a murky bubbling pond.
Daniel turned his back to the pond and stared at Jack. Asura face palmed herself which Jack found strange.
Suddenly, without warning, a powerful force surged from the depths of the pond. The murky water erupted in a violent frenzy as the Creature lunged towards Daniel with impressive speed. Its massive form soared through the air, propelled by its muscular appendages.
Its body is covered in thick, scaly skin that glistens with a dark green hue, providing it with natural camouflage in murky waters and dense jungles. The scales are rough and jagged, resembling armor plating that offers protection against any potential threats.
The creature's head is a grotesque fusion of human and crocodilian features. Its elongated snout is lined with rows of razor-sharp teeth, each tooth gleaming with a deadly sheen. The jaws possess an incredible biting force, capable of crushing bones with ease. Above the snout, two piercing yellow eyes glare out from deep-set sockets.
From the sides of its head protrude bony ridges that resemble horns, adding to its menacing appearance. These ridges serve both as a form of defense and as a display of dominance within its own kind. As the creature opens its mouth to reveal its terrifying maw, a forked tongue flickers in and out.
Its limbs are powerful and muscular, ending in clawed hands and feet that allow it to move swiftly both on land and in water. The claws are sharp and serrated, perfect for tearing through Steel.
The creature's torso is broad and heavily muscled, giving it the strength to overpower. Its back is adorned with a series of bony plates that act as a natural defense mechanism, providing additional protection against attacks from behind. These plates are jagged and uneven, resembling the rugged terrain of its habitat.
As the creature moves, a long, muscular tail sways menacingly behind it. The tail is covered in thick scales and ends in a bony club-like appendage, capable of delivering devastating blows. This tail serves not only as a weapon but also as a means of propulsion in water, allowing the creature to swiftly navigate through the murky swamp.
Daniel casually spun around with lightning-fast reflexes, he held up his right hand, he swung it towards the oncoming Creature and slapped it away, sending it crashing into a building. " You see Jack I'm starting to learn things from you."
Jack couldn't help but faced palmed himself before he stared at the Creature and activated his vision interface.

The Draken got out of the crumbled building and shook it's and stared at the group. it made an eer piercing sound.
"GRRRRRRRRRRKKK"
it ran towards Daniel, Jack stared at the group they didn't look bothered.
It opened its mouth wide and tried to swallow him whole. Daniel shot a lighting bolt into its mouth which made the Creature skid some feet away from him, Enraged the Creature lunged at him, but that was a mistake on it's part, it will never believe it had been played so easily exposing it's underbelly. Daniel shot a bigger bolt which easily went through leaving a hole in his stomach, The Dark seal dropped dead and Daniel announced. "And the winner Daniel Lighting Man"
"That's lame Daniel". Asura said.
" Is it that lame Jack ?." Daniel asked
Jack nodded and turned his attention back to the dead Dark seal.

The ground shook and the group stared at the approaching Draken running towards them, a total of four Drakens.
"Looks like that was a call for help." Daniel said.
" Are there anymore Draken." Asura asked.
Legion shook his head and replied in a disturbed tone. " Only the one we should be hunting".
"Well Jack you won't be partying with us." Daniel said.
Legion stared at the approaching Draken, one of the Drakens stumbled causing the rest to break their formation so the rest attacked a Draken each.
The Draken that stumbled tried to get up but it's legs buckled and it fell back, Jack stared at Sasha but it wasn't her then he stared at Legion he could see sweat streaming down his forehead, the Draken shuddered it's eyes became lifeless as blood oozed out from its nose and mouth. "Just how resilient is a Draken?". Legion mumbled.
Asura ran towards a Draken, it opened its mouth and tried to bite off her head, Asura pivoted on her heel and ram into its side, She weaved her blade as her instincts kicked in she bent down and the Draken tail whizzed past her neck. She got on top of it back using it's bony plate as a stepping stone she stabbed it at the forehead before jumping backwards and performing a stunt landing away from the Draken. The Draken shook it's head continuously, she stabbed the blade on the ground as the blade glowed green the ground collapsed causing the Draken to lose balance and fall, she took the opportunity and slashed at it's underbelly killing it instantly.
Daniel kept darting around and shooting lighting bolts at the Draken. The Draken roared and swung it's tail at Daniel Torso but Daniel spins around in a mesmerising display of twisting blue lighting and slammed into the Draken causing it to lose balance before slaying it with a bolt to the underbelly.
Asura slowly rose to her feet, In that split second, Asura's instincts kicked in. She spun around with lightning-fast reflexes, her hand reaching for her weapon—a sleek blade with a green emblem of a headless winged horse carved on it.. the emblem of Clan Sekhmet.With all her might, she swung it towards the oncoming Creature_ But the Draken stopped mid air and it's underbelly was forcefully ripped apart in a gruesome manner causing it insides to rain down on her, then the Draken was thrown into a building.
Asura stared at the smiling Sasha, she saw a glowing white light on her right hand before she dismissed it. Sasha should be able to tear the underbelly of a Draken but not while holding it mid air and not that ghastly. 'What is that weapon?.' Asura thought.
" Oh thank you Sasha for saving me and the make over." Asura said with obvious sarcasm.
Jack watched as the group killed the Draken under a minute, they were all impressive but for some reason they were trying not to show all their skills.
Daniel stared in the distance as a towering shadow shifted and started making its way to them crunching everything in it's path.
" Well I expected it to join in the fight but it preferred a solo." Asura said.
when the Creature came closer Jack could see it was a Draken but different it was bigger, about nine feet tall and imposing, it's feature had more visible details with a blade for a tail.
Jack used the Vision interface.

" Round two... FIGHT." Daniel screamed as he charged towards the Draken.
Daniel shot a hug bolt of lightning but the Draken avoided it by Jumping backwards, the lighting struck shattered the ground raising a lot of dust. when the dust cleared the Draken was nowhere to be found.
Asura blade glowed green before changing into a sword , Jack stared at the weapon, it was an advanced-tier weapon he could tell cause he has a King-tier weapon which he got from the black market and the aura of the weapon.
A dark blade tail shot out of the ground right in front of Daniel, it came from an angle that Daniel couldn't avoid it, he blocked it but the impact made him skid back a couple of feets. The Draken broke out of the ground and lunged at Daniel, He shot two bolts of lightning the bolts struck the Draken but it didn't slow down and tried to bit off his head he jumped back but the Draken tail struck him mid air throwing him back towards the group, he twisted and impaled his lightning encased hands on the ground to stop his momentum.
" Oh you are good maybe that's why you the King." Daniel said.
The Draken stomach bulged, it opened its mouth and released huge surge of green fluid towards the group, Legion raised his hands and the green fluid Vanished.
Legion held his chest as he fell one knee to the ground, he suddenly had an epistaxis, he raised his head and stared at the group. " Stay away from the fluid it causes mid grade Soul and damage."
" A fluid from an Advanced-tier Dark seal causing mid grade Soul damage isn't that strange." Asura said.
"Oh you mean Jack's strange." Daniel nodded.
The Advanced-tier Dark seal rushed towards the group, Asura intercepted it but it brought it's blade tail down on her head, Her sword glowed green as she slashed at the tail cutting it like butter but the Advanced-tier Dark seal ignored her and continue to charge forward, Daniel got in front but it leaped over him, Sasha tried to attack the caved in part in its underbelly but it was to fast it landed and continue to charge forward.
"Is it running away?." Daniel asked.
"Oh no Jack." Asura said
Asura words made them realised the Advanced-tier Dark seal was going after Jack, they turned their attention to Jack, he stood still without any atom of fear like he wasn't impressed with the Creature.
The Dark seal opened his mouth and tried to swallow Jack. Jack thought about his next action, if it doesn't work then at least he died while standing his ground.

Jack slammed his both hands on the Dark seals upper jaw shutting it's mouth, then he weaved from his inventory the gauntlets he got from the black market.

A pair of red gauntlet appeared around Jack's hands, he held the Dark seal with his right hand and shoot out his left hand, his palm glowed red and a red light Saber shot out and sliced into one of the beast eyes.
A huge bolt of lightning the size of a pillar crashed into the side of the King Draken throwing it into a nearby abandoned building.
As the group approached the King Draken they found out it was already dead, it's left side was melting but that wasn't enough to kill it but immobilise it. When they saw it they gasped in awe, there was a smooth cut which ran down one of it's eyes it was definitely done with a sword.
" What weapon tier did Jack use to tear through the body of a King Draken like butter." Daniel asked as he inspected the body.
" Where is Jack?." Sasha asked.
They group darted their eyes around but couldn't find any sign of Jack.
Asura stared at the huge body of the King Draken. " Jack is such a strange master, he killed the King Draken then left us to Tow a Corpse."
