"Lisa, have you seen the trending news?" Sandy approached Lisa.

"No, I'm not interested instead of wasting your time why don't you work on your thesis?"

"Mmmh, you are so boring, how can your life be so empty? Apart from working, there is nothing fun that you do," Sandy complained.

"Fine, fine tell me now stop pouting," Lisa immediately stopped what she was doing. This was always Sandy's way of getting Lisa's attention. Sandy immediately smiled after accomplishing what she had wanted.

"So?" Lisa spoke after a long silence.

"What do you mean so? He is talking about you, you his childhood lover," Sandy emphasized.

"I'm married anyway just ignore him," after saying that, Lisa went back to working. It's not like she didn't know about it, actually when Lisa had been abandoned they had recently became friends so thinking about what had happened she didn't want to push it through.

"Aah jeez, why do I feel like in the next few days there won't be any peace?" Thinking of that Sandy massaged her skull softly.

"Come in," Ethan's dark voice was heard. He looked up after sending his text revealing a hidden smirk.

"What is it?" He spoke.

"I found out something," the secretary replied. Apart from Kai being the closest and his best friend, his secretary was also among one of his most trusted people he mainly dealt with some of Ethan's personal issues especially now that Kai had to handle all the office work.

"Go on," he walked towards Ethan with a brown envelope inside there were pictures.

"It's a bit blurry since it all happened years back but this is what I managed to find," Ethan skimmed through the photos silently before staring back at him.

"From what I heard, Lisa's aunt and Lara's aunt are indeed twin sisters, Lisa's mum was the eldest. She was engaged to Mr. Smith but what others didn't know was that the two sisters were not on good terms for a long time. The now Mrs. Smith always felt inferior compared to Lisa's mum but she kept it to herself until Lisa's mum got engaged but that wasn't enough before Lisa's mum was married, their parents got into an accident and guess what?"

"They died?"

"Exactly, but all their wealth was left under Lisa's mum it was at that time that she knew she was pregnant,"

"But Mrs. Smith couldn't kill her yet due to the pregnancy?" Ethan spoke.

"Yes, true but what shocked me was before Lisa was even given birth her mum had transferred all the shares to her,"

"Smith corporation?"

"Yeah,"

"Interesting," Ethan held his chin.

"But, Lisa has no idea so immediately Lisa's mum had given birth, there was a fire in the hospital so she didn't survive that's what people thought,"

"You mean she is alive?"

"Yes, I think so it's just a speculation,"

"Find her no matter what, what about the will?"

"I'm not sure where it went but what I'm sure of the Smiths have been looking for something for years without it, the company belongs to Lisa all they did is just changing the name,"

"Go settle their debts, I want a collaboration,"

"President, are you sure?"

"If I can't help my wife who will I help?"

"I know what to do," Ethan raised his hands releasing him.

"Wait, make me a reservation,"

"For dinner?"

"No for breakfast," Ethan couldn't help but facepalm himself as he stared at his secretary. Why was it so hard to find someone who had an equal IQ and EQ.

"Yes, President,"

"Should I prepare flowers?"

"No, my girl doesn't like flowers prepare candies," he smiled foolishly.

"Yes, President,"

After work, Ethan immediately drove towards Lisa's school. He was in high spirit.

"Why do you look so happy today?" Lisa immediately noticed his smirk as she sat on the passenger seat.

"Nothing, I'm just happy to see you," he bent down placing a light kiss on her forehead.

"What?" Lisa asked seeing him chuckle silently.

"You're so cute," he replied staring at her red cheeks.

"What?"

"I said you're cute, you look like a fruit," Ethan couldn't help but tease her more.

"Let's just go," Lisa replied shyly.

"Where are we going?" She asked seeing Ethan driving on the opposite direction.

"On a date,"

"What about grandma?"

"She has Aunt Lin don't mind them,"

"But..but Ive not dressed up,"

"I like it this way," he whispered in her ears.

"Why?"

"So that I can be the only one admiring you,"

"So kinky, what is wrong with you today?"

"Are you sure you want to know what is wrong with me?" He leaned towards her.

"Concentrate you are driving," she replied shyly.

"So where are we going?"

"It's a surprise," Ethan replied cheekily.

"You've become more talkative lately," Ethan replied after a while.

"Have I? I didn't even notice,"

"You are,"

"Is it a good thing?"

"Yes, it is I love it,"

"Why?"

"It's proof,"

"Proof? Of what?"

"It's proof that you have become more free and open with me am I right?"

"I guess so,"

Lisa was the kind of person who rarely spoke especially with people who are not close. She couldn't utter more than two words. Ethan felt glad that Lisa was more free it meant that their relationship had taken a big step and improvement. As time went by, he knew Lisa was going to be the most important person in his life or rather had become. As he drove, he knew Lisa was already his weakness but this also meant that danger was lurking around.

"Wait is this where we are dining?" Lisa spoke in amazement as Ethan stopped the car Infront of the hotel.

"Mmmh," he replied nonchalantly but deep down he felt so proud of himself after seeing Lisa's expression.
