Chương 49: Why?

At the mention of her name, he looked up at Petal and said,

"She left," Alexander replied, a single tear sliding down from his eye.

Ethan now begins to understand what happened. Everything he expected to happen from the beginning, did happen.

"Tell me what happened," Ethan said as he sat in front of him.

Suddenly, Alexander couldn't hold himself back. He started crying like a little boy, sobbing with pain.

Petal was shocked at first but quickly recovered and took her hand in his, comforting him. She knows how it feels to lose someone and how painful it feels.

No one pushed him further to talk. Petal prepared the guest room for him to sleep in it. Alexander wanted to leave but Ethan didn't let him because Petal wanted to and he couldn't refuse.

"He's a grown man Petal. He can deal with his problems." Ethan whispered as he helped her put new sheets on the bed.
