The barrier mended, its form visibly changing before my eyes. It was fast—unpredictable. I had to pass through the hole quickly, so I chose not to use my flight spell with its longer activation time and relied solely on the strength of my body.
I focused on my legs, feeling my veins bulging as the ground underneath my feet couldn't handle the force of them, creating two small holes. Like a bullet, I surged through the barrier, stumbling a few times, but ultimately prevailing against the barrier.
There was nothing more thrilling than the taste of success. It was an ancient formation, sure, but I still overcame it, and that's what mattered. No one would take away my accomplishment. No one.
But the moment was short-lived because a place like that one was undoubtedly packed with formations, and some might be as friendly as a simple barrier. Some formations could be there to end my life.
