Chương 22: Sebastian Wants to Go Home

As the sun rose on the horizon, the army of Leonis approached the capital, their banners flapping in the breeze like vultures circling their prey.

The people, resentful and apprehensive, watched from their homes, their hearts heavy with fear and uncertainty. Yet, they remained steadfast, refusing to abandon their homes and their king.

The streets were eerily quiet, save for the sound of boots marching in unison, the clinking of armor, and the faint hum of their steed.

The air was thick with tension, the sky darkened by the smoke from burning buildings as the enemy forces advanced through the deserted streets.

Seeing how the people who had stayed knew precisely what would happen to them next, while the people who still wanted to live had already gone far, leaving everything behind, Sebastian knew that if he spared them, they would be a thorn in his side forever.

They chose not to flee. That alone was proof of their fear of nothing.
