Chương 29: Didn't Care
The next day.
Li Xuan and Li Ming walked on the hallway. Li Xuan reported, "According to the investigation, only the wells around the city are affected. There is nothing wrong with the river and the lake not far from the city. We are thinking about starting another project to solve the water supply from the river and lake."
"I see. That's good then. The better they begin, the faster the problem will be solved." Li Ming nodded with a serious expression.
All of a sudden, a man stood in their path. Both Li Xuan and Li Ming stopped for a second, wondering who dared to stop them.

"I am doing just that. If you don't have anything else to say, then don't stand in my way." Li Xuan snorted and walked past Li Heng.
"You…" Li Heng gritted his teeth. "I'll definitely make you regret!"
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." Li Xuan shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly.
Li Ming didn't say anything the whole time, but he certainly commented on their interraction inwardly, "What's wrong with these people, especially that guy? Is he a clown or something? But maybe the discussion yesterday was kept secret. Either way, talking to the patriarch will only cause him to look like a fool. And the most important part of the refinery was the distillation tool as well as the separation tool. Since they prepared to extract the petroleum gas as well, he had to prepare everything needed from the start.
The third building was the guard post. Li Ming knew that this world was extremely dangerous. The animals and beasts were stronger than what he knew on Earth. A bear could easily destroy a tree with a single sweep, showing how necessary the guard post was.
Last but not least, the storage. He had asked for giant storage that could hold thousands of barrels of oil at once. Because the nature of the oil, they couldn't be made of wood. As much as they wanted to use iron to create this giant structure, the cost was simply too much to bear at the current period. In the end, they made it with clay and bricks.
These were the foundation of the future oil company that would dominate the Martial World. However, that was for the later. Li Ming had to focus on their construction, supervising the workers, and investigating the area. There were a lot of things he needed to do to the point he couldn't take a rest except for lunch.
Even though they had gone around like crazy, Li Xuan didn't show any sign of exhaustion. It looked like Martial Arts could improve their physical body by a lot. After all, she might not show too much muscle, yet strong enough to lift up the spring pole by herself.
Li Ming had a thought about learning it in the near future. However, Eyses suggested not to do a lot of things at once as it would just cause his health deteriorate. This was another matter that Li Ming had to be concerned about.
On Earth, the medical knowledge had matured, so he wasn't that afraid of getting sick even though he would definitely avoid it if he could. But in this world, medical knowledge was limited to traditional treatment and medicine. Falling sick would be dangerous. He didn't even know whether tetanus could be treated in this world, making him not want to be injured by metal.
While Li Ming was occupied with his thoughts and works, Li Heng seemed to be doing his best to push the matter regarding oil spill.
"Father. Why did you not do anything? This was obviously the impact of the collaboration!" Li Heng gritted his teeth. He had been arguing with his father for a few minutes, but the latter kept rejecting all his ideas as though he completely sided with Li Xuan.
Li Heng tried to convince the elders, but even the second elder, who didn't apologize yesterday, chose to support Li Xuan and Li Ming.
This action was like a betrayal to Li Heng.
"Why are you not doing anything against her? This is the problem she caused." Li Heng clenched his fists.
"Li Heng. That's enough. We discussed this yesterday and the result of the investigation was that the incident was caused by the earthquake. You're dismissed from the room!" Li Changming had enough and expelled Li Heng from the meeting room.
"Father, you…" Li Heng looked unwilling and ended up getting dragged away. From his expression alone, it seemed that he would hold a deep grudge regarding this matter.
