As the boss and his men followed the crowd, they found themselves emerging into a wide field on the outskirts of town. In the center of the field stood a makeshift stage, adorned with colorful banners and twinkling lights, creating an atmosphere of anticipation and excitement.
The crowd had gathered around the stage, sitting on blankets spread out on the grass or perched atop nearby trees, their chatter filling the air as they waited for the event to begin. Families with children, couples holding hands, and groups of friends laughed and talked amongst themselves, their faces lit up with excitement.
One of the boss's men leaned in, his voice barely audible over the hum of the crowd, and asked, "Boss, do you have any idea what's happening here?" The boss glanced around, taking in the scene before him with a thoughtful expression. "No," he replied quietly, "I'm not sure. But judging from everyone's faces and the atmosphere, it seems like something worth waiting for."
