Upon arriving at school, Xiang Wan had barely sat down at her desk when her eyes fixed rigidly on its surface.
She had just gotten a new desk yesterday...
With her head bowed, her fingernails dug deeply into her palms. A desire to go mad surged within her, like tumultuous waves constantly assailing her reason.

The backpack she had placed inside that morning had vanished without a trace, along with the spare umbrella, and her cellphone was in that backpack...
Xiang Wan's body began to tremble uncontrollably.
She had been enduring, over and over... She hadn't wronged anyone, not in the past nor the present.
But why were they bullying her like this?!
She looked coldly at the faces around her, they were laughing, laughing unabashedly.
"Who did this?!"
She couldn't help but explode.
Not far away, a few girls with dyed colorful hair, chewing gum provocatively at Xiang Wan, occasionally blowing bubbles.
Xiang Wan recognized one of them, named An Lili, who was in her class.
She walked up to them, teeth clenched, and confronted, "Was it you guys?"
An Lili laughed scornfully, "So what if it was? What can you do to me, Miss Xiang? Isn't the dad who arranged for a bodyguard to protect you around the clock already dead? I heard he was blown to bits. What's the matter, can't accept it? Going to come at me with his urn to settle the score?"
An Lili's words set off a burst of piercing laughter around them...
The tightly wound string in Xiang Wan's mind finally snapped.
