As Skalain sat on his bed, his mind filled with thoughts and plans for the days ahead. The investigation into the murder case had taken an intriguing turn with the unexpected alliance with the mages from Void Star. But Skalain knew that once the investigation concluded, he needed to move on and explore new territories.
"I have focused too much attention on myself. In a world like this, too much attention is nothing but a problem."
Skalain was not a kid without life experience. Not to mention that now he is starting to remember what kind of life he had when he was back on Earth.
He knew that showing off and taking too much attention without the power to back it down would end in misery.
Which is not something that he wanted to see at all.
He contemplated the possibilities, weighing his options. There were countless places yet to be discovered, each holding its own secrets and opportunities.
"For now, it is best to lay down and increase my knowledge of magic, the world, and everything."
"I need to become a real mage, not an apprentice, to have a clear defense against dark mages and light mages."
Skalain desired to broaden his knowledge, strengthen his magical abilities, and uncover hidden artifacts that could aid him on his journey.
With a determined expression on his face, Skalain began to sketch out a mental map of potential destinations. He considered the renowned Mage Academy in the distant city of Silverhaven, where he could learn from some of the most accomplished mages and expand his magical repertoire.
Alternatively, he pondered about the Dark Archive; right now, he feels more powerful and understands himself with greater confidence. It would make sense for him to go back to the hidden entrance of the Dark Archive and then look for more resources and information there.
Back then, he did not know about many things, but with his experience right now, things may change.
"It may also make sense to designate that hidden location of the Dark Archive as my temporary base."
"It is hidden, too ancient to be remembered, and a solitary place."
Skalain let out
Skalain's thoughts then turned to the bustling city of Obsidian Keep, known as a hub for magical artifacts and rare spellbooks, as well as many dark mages that were in contact with each other to share knowledge. There, he could seek out hidden shops and markets, expanding his collection of enchanted items and deepening his understanding of their powers.
