Chương 13: 'Easy' Training (1)
'So what other abilities do they have that make them so special?'
[That is something that the host will discover as it grows stronger because they don't all have the same powers or skills. There may be some similarity between their skills, but that rarely happens.]
*sigh*
'I guess only time will tell.'
'Now, open the information about my new skills.'
[<Drain against pursuit> This skill will decrease the speed of anybody chasing you by 20-50% of their total speed, provided that they're not higher than your cultivation level by two major realms. This skill can be evolved to increase the percentage of the decrease in speed.]
[<Decimate> This skill will give you the ability to make anything disintegrate without leaving any evidence behind. This skill can only be used on objects and dead bodies at this level. This skill can be evolved to allow you to hide living things from the space they're in to another dimension only accessible to you. Further information will be unlocked once you level up the skill.]
'The <Drain against pursuit> skill can be useful in the future when I embark on my adventures, but right now it's probably useless as no one would chase after a child.'
'As for <Decimate> skill, I can use it to hide the bodies I kill while in the forest and attract less attention.'
'System, I want to use my wheel of fortune pulls.'
[Not available right now. Will be unlocked after you complete your first daily mission.]
'Then why did you give them to me now? You could have given me an increase in stats or a skill!'
[Host, I'm not the one who decided the rules or the rewards. I'm not to blame.]
After the system said that there was a faint chuckle that could be barely heard.
A couple of hours passed and it was time for Enzo's training. "Enzo, get ready we're going to train around the forest, it's spacious there and not a lot of people go there. It's the perfect place to start your training."
"Okay, I'm coming" saying that Enzo started to wear clothes that were easy to move in and went to where his mother was at the door. They headed for a secluded place around the forest.
"Okay, so now what you're gonna do is warm up. I'll need you to stretch first, then you're gonna run from this tree to that tree ten times and finally you're gonna do 50 push-ups and will do sixty seconds of plank. Easy, right?"
'Easy? EASY? How in the world is this easy? Forget me, a five year old child, this isn't even easy for an adult male back on earth, and you call this easy? This isn't even a warm-up, this is a full training set for a bodybuilder.'
Hearing the 'warm-up' his mother told to do, Enzo's eyes opened wide in disbelief. He never expected the 'easy' training to be like this. This was just the warm-up, if so then what will the actual training be like?"
"Mom you're joking, right? This is the whole training set not just the warm-up, you messed up, right?"
"huh? No, my dear. This is just the warm-up. Why would you think that? Just go go, you're gonna find it easy once you start, C'mon."
Looking at his mother's expectant eyes, he gave up trying to persuade her to lessen the warm-up and instead turned to the system for help.
'System, is there any way for you to help me? I'm sure there is, after all you understand that this warm-up isn't suitable for me,right?'
[Host, I cannot help you because that might risk me getting found out. But host, don't worry your body can handle more than that, don't you remember that you got an increase in the strength stat. This training will be easy for your current body strength.]
'Are you sure? I just got +15 points. Will they make that much of a difference?'
[I'm sure host. You will understand after you start.]
"C'mon, start already Enzo. What are you thinking so deeply about? This will help you just go, we still have to start your actual training."
After that Enzo stretched and started by running from the tree to the other one and to his surprise it wasn't hard as he imagined it would be. In fact, it was easy, too easy even. He felt excited and ran faster.
In the end he finished his warmup in a little less than 90 minutes.
"Now that you've warmed up, take a few minutes rest to eat what I've made for you." Celine told Enzo before handing him a box that had a fragrant smell and the food inside looked delicious.
'Ummmm, this tastes great. There's even a feeling of my sore muscles being healed slowly.' What Enzo didn't know was the food he was eating right now is from vegetables and animals that contain Qi and by eating it he is strengthening his body with Qi before even starting to cultivate. Something that if the in higher realms heard would wage a war to get the recipe on how to make the food like that.
One should know that if normally a person who is not a cultivator and ingested Qi or it entered his body, he would explode. In. a literal sense, his body won't be able to store the Qi and will move it across every inch of his body, but it won't be able to handle it and explode. So what his mother did was nothing sort of a miracle for them, they could use it to help their children or descendants that will embark on the cultivation path.
For Enzo's parents what Celine did was easy, she did it for Enzo's sister and for their subordinates. They believed that by doing so it will allow their body to absorb more Qi once they start Cultivating and their guess turned out to be correct.
A few minutes later Enzo finished eating and feeling his body energetic as ever he asked. "So what will the training be mother? Will I start training with weapons and train fighting styles now?"
