It didn't take long for their carriage to arrive at the port. She smiled at how grand the welcoming party for her sister was. There were soldiers aligned in uniforms as well as a trumpet band. There were also flowers and gifts that her husband had arranged for them.
"They're here," Nikolai whispered into her ear as they walked to their place to stand.
Mineah nodded, and they watched as Xenia's figure appeared. She had a wide smile on her face as she watched Xenia almost run her way to her.
"Mineah!" Xenia called out, not minding her surroundings as usual.
Mineah had a broad smile as she opened her arms wide to accept her pouncing. "Big sister… You never change. Why run when you can just walk?" she scolded with her usual gentle and sweet demeanor. "It's not like you're chasing after me, you know."
"I missed you," Xenia murmured.
