Chương 5: I Will Kill You and Your Bloodline Chinjao!

The Bead Rider swiftly approached the shores of Kano Country. As Jack closed in on the coastline, he made sure no one was around to witness the boat's arrival. Satisfied that the coast was clear, he channeled his energy into the bead, causing the boat to vanish into the pocket space.

Stepping onto the sandy beach, Jack took a moment to breathe in the salty sea air and admire the vibrant landscape that lay before him. Kano Country was a prosperous nation, ruled by the powerful Don Family. The island was a hive of activity, with bustling markets, lush greenery, and the sounds of laughter and conversation filling the air.

As he began to explore the island, Jack couldn't help but be drawn to the energy and excitement that seemed to pulse through the streets. He found himself wandering through a busy marketplace, where vendors hawked their wares and shoppers haggled over prices. The air was filled with the aroma of exotic spices and freshly cooked food, and the tantalizing scents made his stomach growl with hunger.

Jack approached a food stall, where a friendly vendor greeted him with a wide smile. "Welcome, traveler! Care to try some of our famous Kano Country skewers?" The vendor held out a plate of sizzling, delicious-looking meat skewers.

Jack's mouth watered at the sight, and he eagerly handed over some Berries in exchange for a few skewers. Taking a bite, he sighed in satisfaction as the flavors danced on his tongue. "These are amazing!" he exclaimed, genuinely impressed.

The vendor beamed, clearly proud of his culinary skills. "Thank you! We take great pride in our food here. I hope you enjoy your stay in Kano Country!"

Jack continued to explore the island, taking in the sights and sounds of this lively nation. As he walked, he marveled at the well-maintained streets, the ornate architecture, and the lush gardens that seemed to be everywhere. It was clear that the Don Family ruled with a firm but fair hand, and their influence could be seen in every aspect of the country's daily life.

At one point, Jack found himself in a lively tavern, where patrons drank, laughed, and shared stories. He took a seat at the bar, ordering a glass of the local brew. As he sipped his drink, he couldn't help but overhear the animated conversations around him.

"...I'm telling you, I saw it with my own eyes! A giant sea monster, right off the coast!" a burly man insisted, his voice slurred from too much alcohol.

A skeptical woman rolled her eyes. "Oh, come on. You've had one too many drinks, and now you're seeing things!"

The man's face turned red with indignation. "I swear, it's true! We need to be careful out there. Who knows what other dangers lurk beneath the waves?"

Jack ignored the drunken man's ramblings, choosing instead to focus on a conversation happening further down the bar. The topic seemed to be about Don Chinjao, the leader of the Don Family and a figure of great respect in Kano Country. The speakers were an older man with a grizzled beard and a younger woman with bright, curious eyes. Their voices were animated and filled with admiration.

"Ah, Don Chinjao," the older man sighed wistfully, his eyes gleaming with respect. "He's truly a remarkable leader. Did you know that he singlehandedly brought prosperity to Kano Country after years of strife?"

The young woman shook her head in amazement. "Really? I had no idea. How did he do it?"

"Well, it wasn't easy, that's for sure," the man replied, taking a sip of his drink. "You see, before Don Chinjao took power, Kano Country was plagued by corrupt officials and bandits who preyed on the innocent. It was a dark time for our people."

He paused, a look of sadness crossing his face. "I remember it well. I was just a young man then, but I can still recall the fear and despair that hung over the land. But then, along came Don Chinjao."

The young woman leaned in, eager to hear more. "What happened?"

The older man smiled, his eyes lighting up. "Well, it's a story that's been told countless times in Kano Country. Don Chinjao was born to a family of great warriors, and he inherited their incredible strength and fighting prowess. As he grew older, he became more and more skilled, eventually earning a fearsome reputation as a martial artist."

"But it wasn't just his fighting skills that made him stand out," the man continued, his voice filled with admiration. "Don Chinjao was also incredibly wise and just. He saw the suffering of the people and knew that something had to be done."

"And so, he set out to make things right," the man went on. "He challenged the corrupt officials and bandits who had taken control of the country, defeating them one by one. With each victory, Don Chinjao's legend grew, and the people began to rally behind him."

"But Don Chinjao didn't stop there," the man said, his voice growing more passionate. "Once he had rid Kano Country of the criminals who had oppressed it for so long, he turned his attention to rebuilding the nation. He implemented fair laws and policies, invested in infrastructure, and worked tirelessly to improve the lives of the people."

The young woman's eyes were wide with awe. "Wow, he sounds amazing. And he's still in charge now?"

The older man nodded. "Yes, indeed. Don Chinjao has been ruling Kano Country for many years now, and under his guidance, our nation has flourished. He's a true hero, and we're lucky to have him as our leader."

At that moment, a man sitting a few stools down from them interjected, his voice filled with admiration as well. "You're right about that. I've had the pleasure of meeting Don Chinjao on several occasions, and he's every bit as impressive in person as he is in the stories."

"Oh?" the young woman asked, clearly interested. "What was he like?"

The man leaned back on his stool, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Well, the first thing you notice about him is his presence. He's a tall, imposing figure, with a powerful aura that commands respect..."

Jack left the tavern, his mind racing with thoughts of the legendary Don Chinjao. He had met the old man before, and it was because of him that Jack had amassed a small fortune. Now, it seemed, their paths were destined to cross again. With a newfound sense of purpose, Jack made his way towards the palace, ready to confront Chinjao and seek answers.

As he walked, Jack called upon one of the strange abilities he had gained over the years – the power to enhance his senses, allowing him to perceive his surroundings with greater clarity and detail. He didn't know it, but this was one of the abilities granted by the bead he carried. The power flowed through him, sharpening his vision and honing his instincts.

As he neared the palace, Jack's enhanced senses allowed him to effortlessly map out the positions of the guards and soldiers that patrolled the area. He studied their movements, searching for a weak spot in their defenses. Finally, he found it – a small gap in the patrol patterns that would allow him to slip past unnoticed.

With expert precision, Jack infiltrated the palace grounds, evading the guards with ease. He scaled the palace walls, climbing higher and higher until he found himself outside Don Chinjao's secret chamber. Taking a deep breath, he prepared himself for the confrontation to come. He pulled out a large sack filled with every single berry he owned.

Jack silently opened the door to the chamber and stepped inside, his heart pounding in his chest. The room was dimly lit by flickering candles, casting eerie shadows on the walls. At the far end of the room, sitting in a large, ornately carved chair, was Don Chinjao himself.

The old man looked up from a scroll he was reading, his piercing eyes locking onto Jack's. "Well, well," he said, his voice deep and powerful. "I must say, I didn't expect to see you here, Jack. You got the money?"

Jack looked at the old man in disgust and threw the bag at his feet. If Chinjao was offended by the gesture, he didn't show it. Instead, a smile spread across his face, the light from the candles reflecting off his drill-like beard.

"For a man with such a big fortune, isn't it greedy for you to ask 300 million from me, Chinjao?" Jack asked.

"For a man with such capabilities, isn't it absurd for you to free a woman for such money, Jack?" The old man countered, "You could have bought a powerful Devil Fruit."

"Don't need it," Jack shrugged, and then looked at the old man intently. "Where is she?"

"Wait here; she will come," Chinjao said, and left the room.

"You know I will kill you and your bloodline for this, right?" Jack asked, his voice low and dangerous, a wild grin filled with promises and bloodlust on his face.

Chinjao didn't respond, the door closing behind him as he exited the chamber. Jack was left alone with his thoughts, his emotions a swirling tempest of anger, worry, and anticipation.

As Jack stood alone in the dimly lit chamber, he couldn't help but think about the conversation he'd had with Chinjao moments earlier. The old man's words echoed in his mind, and a cold fury began to burn in his chest.

"I can't believe he would do this," Jack muttered to himself, his hands clenched into fists. "How can a man who has brought so much prosperity and peace to his people be so heartless?"

As he pondered this, the door to the chamber slowly opened, revealing a 19-year-old girl. She was meek and timid, too afraid to look into Jack's eyes. The moment he saw her, Jack's heart clenched painfully in his chest.

"Sophie," he breathed, his voice filled with relief and anguish.
