The train travelled for three hours, and stopped at Old town, She exited the train and started walking to her home two blocks away, but she was too tired and it was exactly 2am, she knew this because she had asked for the time from a man on the train, with a watch.
She sluggishly started approaching her house, the bubbly town she knew was dead silent and she could even hear the creaking of crickets.
She got to her house to see the worried faces of her parents, they were happy to see her come back safely, but they also scolded her for coming that late, they expected her to find a small hotel to stay with the money they had given her, it was the reason her father gave her such an amount of money, she also noticed the money was more than usual, but she couldn't complain.
Her parents hugged her after the scolding and they all went into the house.
She quickly had a shower and went to bed immediately, her parents had questions to ask but they didn't want to disturb her.
She woke up at exactly 12pm in the afternoon, to her brother touching her nose, She laughed and played with him a little before leaving her room, and went downstairs to the living room, she didn't see her father because her father had gone to the farmers market, so it was her mom who was in the house.
She approached her mom and she told her never to travel at night again, she also gave her a gift that her father had bought for her, her father had used the money she didn't spend and money gotten from the farm to buy her a small phone.
She was overjoyed, being the third person to have a personal phone in the town, the first was Andrew her friend, the second was her classmate Jessica, she was the third to get a phone, the phone was black in colour and had press-able buttons, it had a Torchlight and could be used to make calls and send text messages.
When her father came back she jumped on him and hugged him, and she thanked him
He told her the purpose of the phone was for communication and not entertainment, that was what brought her down to earth and she was determined to bring them out of old town and poverty, she told them of the wonders of oak valley and her experience through out the exam.
Her parents weren't discouraged like before, they prayed that her dream to study at oak valley would come to pass.
She resumed her normal duties after one day, she had missed jade, so she brought her out for another scavenger hunting, after that she tended to the crops and entered her workshop.
She wanted to build another bike which she wouldn't sell again.
She had lost hope after one week and she forgot about the dream since the result was supposed to come out after three days. her father was thinking of enrolling her as an apprentice blacksmith since she was good at it.
While in her workshop she Heard a shout from the house and quickly ran only to see...
