Chương 344: Failed call
August 15, 2042*
Kaneki: take care you guys, I'll see you at school later
Shino: see you later.
Miku: I'll be waiting.
Yuuka: take care Kaneki.
Kaneki was seeing His friends off as Shino and Yuuka came to pick up Miku so the three fo them could go to school together.
Kaneki: well then, I should start prepping to-
Shino & Yuuka: wait!
Before Kaneki could go back in his house, Shino and Miku grabbed his arms and looked at him with worried faces.
Kaneki didn't understand what's happening.
Kaneki's thoughts*
(What's with these two?)
Kaneki: hmm? What is it?
Shino: we're a bit worried that Millie would call you and hurt you.
Yuuka: yeah, I did gave her your contact info yesterday.
(Oh that's what's why)
Kaneki understood why they were worried so he reassured them.
Kaneki: it's alright you two don't need to worry.
Shino & Yuuka: bu-
Kaneki: Shhhh. I said don't worry.
Shino & Yuuka: okay...
Miku: c'mon you two, let's go.
Miku was calling out to Shino and Yuuka.
Shino & Yuuka: well then... See you later.
Kaneki: bye bye.
And so, Shino, Yuuka and Miku left and headed to school.
When they left Kaneki went back inside his house and started preparing.
But there was something in his mind.
(I really need to get more evidence, those two might not be able to hold out as long as I expected)
He was still worried about Shino and Yuuka.
Kaneki: whatever I should get prepared, I don't know when the call will happe-
Ring~!
His phone then started to ring.
Kaneki: speaking of the Devil.
He immediately knew who the call is from.
1 hour later*
Sachi: strange, Kaneki still isn't here?
Sachi gotten to school before Kaneki, she thought he went to school first before her but when she arrived he wasn't there which made her a bit worried.
Chikao: he might be sick and stayed home?
Sachi: yeah probably.
Seeing how Kaneki wasn't there Shino, Yuuka, Miku and Natsuki also gotten a bit worried.
Shino, Yuuka, Miku & Natsuki's thoughts*
(Is Kaneki/Oni-chan alright? I hope nothing bad happened)
As the girls were getting worried two people were overjoyed.
Ryueki's thoughts*
(This is great! I don't need to see that mob character's annoying face again! Now I can do anything I want with my story!)
Ryueki was just happy to not see Kaneki, because he couldn't interfere in his "story".
Millie's thoughts*
(Yes! My plan is definitely working! My maid called him using his Contact information an hour ago and she probably already did some damage!)
Millie in the other hand was overjoyed, because she had used one of her maid's that can copy anyone's voice to call Kaneki in order to make him hate Miku and stop helping her.
(He definitely hates her now to the point he doesn't want to see her face! I can definitely hurt Miku now without him in school!)
Even though she thought that, she was in for a surprise.
Slam!
As the classroom door opened, Kaneki came walking in.
Ryueki's thoughts*
(Dammit! Why is he here?!)
Ryueki was pissed, Because Kaneki came to school it meant that his "story" will be twisted once again.
And as for Millie.
Millie's thoughts*
(Well that doesn't matter, he probably hates Miku now anyways.)
She wasn't worried since she thought her plan had worked.
Itsuki: hey Kaneki, why are you late? You don't usually come to school at this time and you usually walk with Saki-san.
That was what she thought.
Sachi: yeah! What's with that!
Chikao: did something happened?
But she was wrong.
Kaneki: So someone tried impersonating Tachi-san.
Sachi & Chikao: Eh?!
Miku: Wait me?!
Everyone: someone tried to impersonate Miku/Tachibana-san?!
As Kaneki mentioned someone impersonating Miku, everyone heard it and gotten worried.
Shino: What do you mean someone tried to impersonate Miku?!
Yuuka: what happened?
itsuki & Keiko: yeah tell us!
Sachi: is that why you didn't walked with me?!
Chikao: c'mon tell us!
Kaneki: I can't tell you guys if you're all being so noisy!
As he said that everyone became quiet.
Kaneki: good, now let me start from an hour ago.
Flashback*
At this point Kaneki will b narrating.
Kaneki it was when I was preparing to leave I suddenly got a call on my phone.
And when I picked it up my phone and when I looked at it, it said that I was being called by.
Kaneki: Tachi-san?
When I thought it was Tachi-san I answered it and then.
"Hey Kane-chan, how are you?"
I began talking to the person behind the phone.
Kaneki: I'm good, but why are you calling me this early in the morning?
"I'm just calling to thank you"
I didn't understand what she meant so I asked.
Kaneki: for what?
And her answer made me already knew she was a fake trying to impersonate Tachi-san.
"I'm thanking you for being the biggest idiot in the world"
I even thought to myself.
(Wow this is such a horrible impersonation might as well just play along)
So I did.
Kaneki: what do you mean?
She then began trying to taunt me.
"I mean seriously, do you really think I think of you as my friend? I literally was using you so I can get the attention of someone I like"
Kaneki: w-wait seriously?
Her taunt was so boring but I acted as if I was hurt.
And it repeated for almost 30 minutes, she taunted me and I acted as if I was hurt I even made a fake cry.
Flashback end*
Kaneki: and that's it
Miku: wait... Seriously?
Kaneki: yup! And I obviously know it's not you Tachi-san since we didn't share our contact information.
???: but why would someone try to impersonate her?
Kaneki: obviously to make me stop investigating the true identity of the person bullying Tachi-san.
Itsuki: but how can you tell it was a fake?
Kaneki: i already said me and Tachi-san didn't shared our contact info, and also the person who was impersonating her had a slightly different pitch in her voice.
Sachi: oh yeah, you are half demon of sound so you can hear things better than most people.
Kaneki: yup. But I'm still wondering how she got my Contact info though, well whatever I have another reason to find the bully now. I think I should also report that to Querxes Sensei later.
Miku: looks like my bully is getting really desperate.
Kaneki: yeah, anyways I'm actually really close to finding this bully now.
Miku: really? Thanks.
With her plan failing, Millie started to panic.
Millie's thoughts*
(No way! Are you kidding?! My plan failed?! How?!)
She didn't understand why it failed and she gotten more frustrated.
(I can't hurt Miku as long he's here! I must do something!)
She started to get more desperate to hurt Miku but what shall she do to do that?
Meanwhile*
???: hey are you sure about this? It might hurt your precious Millie more.
Ichinose: do I have a choice? In order to get his help I need her to call out for help right?
???: correct, but are you sure?
Ichinose: I'll do anything to save Millie-san from those people she calls her parents and I'll definitely make her happy.
???: I understand, but I suggest you call her at around when W.S.S.F training starts.
Ichinose: why?
???: just do as I say.
What is Ichinose Karin going to do to help Millie? And will she be successful?
