As the leader, it was only natural for Mo Bei to be the one to choose a new Gu worm. It must be said that even experienced peak rank 1 Gu Masters only kept four or five Gu worms on them at a time, mainly because primeval essence was limited.
However, the Liquor Worm was very useful in the sense that it only upgraded one's primeval essence, and thus did not use it. Mo Bei could thus use at least one other Gu worm to complete his set of Gu worms. He had one support Gu worm, [Little Light Gu], one offence Gu worm, [Moonlight Gu], one defensive Gu worm, [Iron Skin Gu] and one food-path Gu worm, [Liquor Worm]. In order to have a complete set of Gu worms, he only needed a Gu worm capable of raising his perception, which would be useful to detect ambushes and dangers.
The academy store was amazing. Inside, there lied plenty of rare Gu worms that could not be bought in the markets due to the short supply. Mo Bei knew that he would find it hard in the future to find those Gu worms, and thus decided to purchase the [Python Eye] Gu. It was simple, but it granted thermal vision to the Gu Master who used it. However, few people decided to purchase it, because it would forever change the vision of one of the Gu Master's eye. Furthermore, the form of a snake eye was much different to that of a regular human, making the Gu Master look rather inhuman.
However, Mo Bei did not care about appearances. Only strength mattered in the coming beast tides.
After a month of hunting, both Shi Feng and Tang Chi reached high mastery of their Gu worms.
In the end, he ordered Shi Feng to complement the [Light Steps] and [Moonlight Gu] with a support-type Gu worm. Naturally, he recommended him the [Little Light Gu], since it was popular for a reason, and matched the Moonlight Gu the best.
As for Tang Shi, she did not have enough primeval essence to use a support Gu worm. Mo Bei and Shi Feng could respectively shoot out 15 and 10 moonlight blades, as each use of the Moonlight Gu cost roughly 5% of the aperture's primeval essence. Little Light Gu Worm would use, in that sense, 5% of the aperture's primeval essence too. Thus, with only 44% of her aperture's filled, she would only be able to shoot out 4 moonlight blades enhanced with the little light Gu worm, which was too little. It would even fall to 3, if she used the [blood stalker] Gu before attacking.
Instead of a support type Gu worm that would reduce her endurance in battle, Mo Bei thought that a healing Gu worm would suit her better, and would prove of extreme usefulness in the future. Although wild boards did not pose a threat, the same could not be said for rank 1 wild beasts with Gu worms.
[Rock Toad Saliva] Gu would allow her saliva to possess healing properties. Although it was not instantaneous, it could help wave off infections and increase the regeneration to the point that it would be visible to the naked eye. If they got injured in the wildnerness, it might save their lives.
With these three Gu worms, the [Three Class Overlords], as they were nicknamed, would never be challenged again. This hunting competition had allowed them to soar.
