At the same time, Dobby popped up in his master's home, however, as soon as he materialized, Dobby froze. His small body began to levitate, seemingly of its own accord, slowly drifting towards the living room.
When he got there, the poor little house elf saw two people in the living room. One was his master, Lucius Malfoy, who looked worried and scared. The other was a woman. She was very pretty but scary with her black hair and red eyes, and her red dress only enchanted her beauty. However, as soon as she saw the levitating house elf, she smiled at him.
"Dobby," The woman spoke, in a sweet but scary voice. "You are back."
Dobby nodded nervously, trying not to quiver under her intense gaze. "Yes, Mistress," he said, his voice barely more than a whisper.
Hearing his scared voice, the woman leaned forward, studying him intently. "And tell me, Dobby, what news do you bring from Hogwarts? How is Harry Potter, the hero of the muggle-born wizards and witches?"
Dobby hesitated for a split moment, but no matter how much he wanted to deny meeting Harry Potter, he couldn't. "Harry… Potter, he knows about the Chamber, Mistress or a-at least he had seen the effect of it…"
A slow smile spread across her face. "Good," she said softly. "Very good. If everything works as our friend hopes it will then the boy will be the key, the one to unlock the Chamber for my prince, and who knows, maybe he will even help my prince tame that thing our good old muggle Tom Riddle calls his pet."
Lucius shifted uncomfortably, not wanting to be anywhere near the woman who dared to call his dark lord by his true name. "Are…are you sure this is wise, Mistress?"
The woman turned her gaze to him, and for a moment, Lucius seemed to shrink under her scrutiny. "Do not question me, Lucius. You have seen what my dear prince can do if led to the right path and by all gods, I will get him before anyone else gets him, even if that means that I will have to burn the whole world for him."
Lucius nodded, not daring to argue further. He knew that the woman was powerful and dangerous, not to mention that she was the sole reason why the dark lord is who he is today, without her, Voldemort wouldn't have ever managed to get rid of the weakest Auror. Thought, despite how scared he was of her; Lucius still could barely believe that the same boy who came to his mansion a few months ago was the reason behind this devil's excitement as well as his master's current predicament.
Yes, the boy was from being ordinary, after all, there are almost no known cases of wizards or witches being in the middle class at the age of twelve. Usually, only five-year students and above were in that class. In the end, Lucius only lets out a sigh, hoping that his son will at least become stronger in the future, after all, what father won't love to have a strong son carry his legacy?
The next morning, back at Hogwarts, Harry woke up on Sunday morning to find the dormitory blazing with winter sunlight and his arm reboned but very stiff. He sat up quickly and looked over at Colin's bed, but it had been blocked from view by the high curtains Harry had changed behind yesterday. Seeing that he was awake, Madam Pomfrey came bustling over with a breakfast tray and then began bending and stretching his arm and fingers.
"All in order," she said as he clumsily fed himself porridge left-handed. "When you've finished eating, you may leave."
Harry dressed as quickly as he could and hurried off to Gryffindor Tower, desperate to tell his friends about Colin and Dobby, but when he got there, he didn't find Ron or Hermione, meaning that they were probably with Thomas and the others. Because of that, Harry left to look for them, wondering where they could have got to and feeling slightly hurt that they weren't interested in whether he had his bones back or not, then again from what Madam Pomfrey told him, they came to visit him yesterday when he was out cold thanks to Lockhart.
Percy Weasley strolled out of the library as Harry passed it, looking in far better spirits than the last time they'd met.
"Oh, hello, Harry," he said. "Excellent flying yesterday, really excellent. Gryffindor has just taken the lead for the House Cup, you earned us fifty points!"
Though Harry was not happy, no matter how much they beat the Slytherins, there was almost no chance of winning against the Ravenclaw lineup.
"You haven't seen Ron or Hermione, have you?"
"No, I haven't," said Percy, his smile fading. "I hope Ron's not in another girls' toilet… But I did hear that he and that Ravenclaw boy, James once again fought over something in the great hall this morning. I still can't believe that you and he are friends with five Ravenclaws and two Slytherin girls."
Harry forced a laugh as he watched Percy walk out of sight, before heading straight for Moaning Myrtle's bathroom. He couldn't see why his friends would be in there, but after making sure that neither Filch nor any prefects were around, he opened the door and heard their voices coming from the far right side of the bathroom.
"It's me," he said, making himself know him. And there from one of the stalls, there was a clunk, a splash, and a gasp from within before Harry saw Hermione and Daphne's eyes peering through the keyhole.
"Harry!" Hermione said. "You gave us such a fright. How's your arm?"
"Fine," said Harry, giving them a forced smile. Meanwhile, Thomas, Michael, Adam, and Tracey were surrounding a brand-new cauldron as something was being brewed inside of it. Then again conjuring water was kind of Hermione's thing, especially since Thomas showed her to do it without the need of a wand using something called devil's magic.
Though, strangely enough, there was no sight of Ron nor James anywhere in the bathroom making, Harry curious.
"Hey guys, where are Ron and James?"
Hearing Harry's question, all of them sighed before Thomas decided to tell him what happened earlier that day.
"Our two idiotic friends got into an argument in the great hall about quidditch which ended up in a brawl between them. McGonagall broke the brawl and sent the two idiots to detention for the rest of the month with little to no free time."
Before Harry could ask them anything else, Tracey spoke in a low voice.
"We had come to visit you, but Madam Pomfrey didn't let us stay too long and this morning she didn't let us at all."
"And because of that, we decided to start making the potion in here since let's be honest other than us, no one else came into this place." Daphne continues while looking at the ghost who was eyeing one of the friends. Ever since they had come inside the bathroom, Myrtle started acting like a shy girl hiding and only peeking slightly in their direction.
In all honesty, Harry was surprised to hear that they were not allowed to visit him, then again, with what happened to Collins…
"I think I know why you guys weren't allowed inside. Last night, Collins was found… petrified just like Mrs. Norris."
But none of them looked ever so slightly surprised by this. Thankfully before Harry could ask them why they weren't surprised, Michael's voice rang from beside the cauldron.
"We already know, the whole school knows by now I reckon. We heard Professor McGonagall telling Professor Flitwick this morning. But I don't think they are going to keep a secret, then again, we can know what our headmaster or professors are up to."
Meanwhile, Thomas was once again feeling like he walked into the lair of a beast, and not because Myrtle was looking at him like he was one of the juicy pieces of meat she had ever seen. No, that didn't bother him all that much, but for some reason, he felt like he was being watched or at least "touched" by something. However, no matter how much he tried to sense it, nothing came, though Bahamut did warn him that whatever it was, it was at least High class or even Ultimate. Ever since he broke the barrier, Bahamut's senses started to cover the school and its grounds once again, albeit to a lesser degree, courtesy of that old man protecting the school, at least on paper.
Thinking about Dumbledore, Thomas wondered why the old headmaster had not checked if Quirrel was sane in the first year and this year, giving the post to Gilderoy Lockhart out of all of the people who could have been teaching them DADA. However, before he could think further about this, he was brought back from his thoughts by Harry's words.
"Guys, I don't want to alarm anyone, but there's something else about last night," Harry muttered, watching Hermione tearing bundles of knotgrass and throwing them into the potion while Daphne was preparing one of the other ingredients beside her. "Dobby came to visit me in the middle of the night."
Thomas, Michael, Adam, and Hermione were surprised to hear that Dobby had come to visit Harry once again. Either the little creature had some guts or the situation was so bad that Dobby had to warn Harry again.
Daphne and Tracey, however, had no idea who Dobby was. "Who's Dobby?" Daphne asked.
Harry sighed and explained, "He's a house-elf who works for the Malfoys. He's been trying to warn me about something bad happening at Hogwarts, but he can't tell me much because he's bound by magic to obey his masters. He's also been trying to get me to leave the school, by making me miss the train, sending me a rogue bludger, and even enchanting a cake to fall on my aunt's head."
The two Slytherin girls gasped and looked at Harry with sympathy. "That's horrible," Tracey said.
Harry nodded grimly. "I know. But he says he's doing it for my good. He says there's something terrible in the school, something that only I can stop."
"What is it?" Michael asked eagerly.
Harry shrugged. "I don't know. He wouldn't tell me. He just said that the Chamber of Secrets has been opened again and that there's a promised prince who will rule the magic beings."
The others exchanged puzzled looks. "The promised prince? What does that mean?" Adam asked.
"Wait, Harry, you said that the Chamber of Secrets has been opened before?" Hermione said.
Harry nodded his head at Hermione before turning towards Adam. "I have no idea, Adam. Dobby wouldn't say anything more. He just said that I should never trust the promised prince, and then he disappeared."
The others were silent for a moment, trying to make sense of Dobby's words. But amongst all of them, Thomas was the only one who was worried about this. For some reason, he could swear that this prince had something to do with him being Bahamut's host and Mars's partner. God knows what will happen to me in the future, Thomas thought just as Tracey spoke.
"Maybe we should tell someone about this," Tracey suggested nervously.
Harry shook his head again. "No, we can't. No one will believe us, not when I'm the one suspected to be heir that opened the Chamber…"
"Dobby stopping you and Ron from getting on the train, breaking your arm …" Thomas said with a frown on his face. "You know what, Harry? Chance is that if he doesn't stop trying to save your life, he's going to kill you, one way or the other."
