Roxana was used to facing danger alone in her past life, so she was always prepared to face death when trouble struck her. However, after being protected and pampered by Damian for a few weeks, she became increasingly afraid of getting hurt or facing danger alone.

The more she became dependent on the demon, the more Roxana bonded with Damian.

"No one will burn you just because you depend on me, so why should you feel bad about that?" Damian ruffled Roxana's hair, then pulled her hand as he started to walk again. "Come on. We might still be able to get out if we move fast."

Although Damian didn't elaborate on his meaning, Roxana also understood that the magic surrounding the cave was being used to mislead them, so the chances of them still finding the way out were low.

However, there was no harm in remaining hopeful. Perhaps Damian said like that so Roxana wouldn't feel too worried.
