Chương 57: In the face of unity

A single moment. That's how long it takes for the world to be turned on its head. That one moment where everything becomes clear, a point where all roads converge and the fate of billions is intertwined. It all comes down to a single moment when the world no longer has anything to hide.

Pope Franklin and Greed sit at the opposite ends of a short rectangular table, waiting for Fiera to return. Greed spins a gold coin on the table, its wry on the wooden planks being the only sound in the room. The only light they had was the three-branched candle holder in the middle of the table. The air was dense as the two men didn't even make eye contact, until finally, Greed pins his coin to the table and speaks.

"Tell me something. Is it acceptable for a man of The Light such as yourself to take orders from a spawn?"

After so long in the silence, Greed's voice sounded out of place.
