Only after Alicia's car had disappeared from view did Louis finally turn around and get into his own car.
As the driver started the car, he asked, "Mr. Martinez, where do you want to go?"
Holding the divorce papers, Louis stared at the fancy silver letters, his eyes dark and unfocused. "Home," he mumbled.
The driver turned the car around. Halfway there, Louis's phone rang. He glanced at the screen and saw it was a call from Henry. "Defino told me you've wrapped up the divorce?" he asked.
Louis hummed, his face blank.
Henry sighed softly in relief. "Now that it's done, you should come back to the office. There's a ton of work waiting for you. Between you and Asher, I've always trusted you more. You're more skilled, better at business, and I taught you myself. Asher grew up with the Powell family, so there's always been a gap between us. As long as you listen to me, I'll give you everything you want."
