Eating dinner without a certain dark Fae prince should have been a dream come true, instead, Islinda found out that she somehow missed his presence. No! She was not going to give in so easily and admit that she wished Aldric was here so they can fight all they want yet have a memorable dinner.
Islinda stabbed her fork into the steak with much more force than was required, sulking as she was seated alone on the long, mahogany table. Her gaze fell on the two Fae servants standing at their appointed position while she dined. The grand dining room felt cold, lonely, and distant.
Rosalind was not here and Islinda was grateful for that because she couldn't stand to see her right now. Not after their confrontation earlier. Although Rosalind said those words to spite her, Islinda knew deep down that she was right.
