"I'm going to group up with my friends. I don't want to be seen waling together with these peasants." Odis claimed as soon as they left their inn.
"Odis! How many ti-"
"Shut up sis! If you wanna travel with them, you can do so! Just don't drag me to your levels. I'm going." Odis cut off his sister and walked away.
Ouida had a blank expression on her face while she kept staring at Odis's back.
*Gasp*
She was startled as Cadell tapped on her shoulders. "Shall we go then?"
Ouida gave a kind smile and nodded her head.
The group of three wandered around the city. They looked at the city market where they sold all kinds of souvenirs and expensive clothes. Valentina's eyes sparkled looking through the window of a boutique but Cadell dragged her along.
Then they walked around the city some more and ate some sea food at the street stalls. They explored the fish market and finally they went to the docks while the sun was already about to set.
As they walked towards the docks, a group of children came running towards them while playing with each other. One of them, a snotty nosed kid, bumped into Ouida. "Ow!" The kid looked up towards Ouida, "Sowwy Miss!" He was missing some teeth. He stepped back but his snot stuck to her uniform.
Valentina and Cadell instantly became nervous and tried to move towards the kid. But they were a bit late as Ouida kneeled down and grabbed the kid.
She then proceeded to take out her handkerchief and rubbed the kid's nose. "What are you guys playing?" Her face had a kind smile. With the fiery evening sunlight, her kind figure looked like an angel had descended upon the earth.
Valentina and Cadell stopped in their tracks, their mouths wide open, and they looked at each other. 'Is she really a noble?' Cadell spoke with his eyes. 'Who knows? Maybe she hit her head as a child?' Valentina expressed with her eyes as well. Cadell rolled his eyes and looked towards Ouida.
"We were juth playinh with paper boath!" The child smiled brightly, showing off his missing teeth.
"Wow! Can you show this sister how to make paper boats?"
"Thsure! Follow!" The children ran towards the end of the wooden port. Ouida looked back towards the two and smiled "Come on!" She followed the children.
Cadell and Valentina looked at each other, shrugged and followed them.
They watched silently as Ouida was making and releasing the paper boats towards the ocean, cheerfully with the children. Her smiling and kind figure would strike a chord within every guy's heart.
Valentina looked towards Cadell to find him staring at her intently while blushing. She hit his shoulders. "Ow! What?"
"Nothing." She moved towards Ouida and started making paper boats.
As Cadell watched the both of them, a sound came from behind him.
"Wow. Smiling and playing with commoners and peasant children. Is that really your sister Odis? Was she adopted? Hahaha!"
Cadell looked back to find Odis and his lackeys. The horse-faced boy was smiling smugly after his comment. Odis was staring at his sister with his brows furrowed.
"Oi. What are you staring at? Want to get beat up? You peasant!" The horse-faced boy spoke to Cadell.
"Come on then horse boy." Cadell retorted calmly.
Veins popping on his forehead, the boy clenched his fist and headed towards him, "What'd you say!?"
"Tch. Stop Ben." Odis grabbed his shoulder. "Let's not make any trouble in this area. We'll have our chance." Then he turned and started walking away.
"Hmph." Ben stared at Cadell for a second and followed Odis.
Ouida had a sad expression on her face as she watched her brother leave.
"What's your brother's problem? How can you guys be so different?" Cadell approached her.
Ouida looked at Cadell and gave a defeated smile. "Let's talk while walking." She looked at the children and smiled. "Bye kids! Sister had lots of fun!"
The snotty kid smiled back, "Come play with uth again thister!"
"Sure" The three began walking towards the docks.
"Please forgive Odis if you can... He has been like that since our mother passed away."
"Oh... Sorry to hear that." Valentina and Cadell spoke with a low voice.
"No. It's okay. She was a very strong and kind lady. She'd often go to the slums to help the needy and ill people there. She'd bring medicine to them. They all loved her. My father also helped her with these. But going to the slums frequently, she caught an illness suddenly. After struggling for some weeks, she died." Ouida had tears forming in her eyes.
She wiped the tears with her arms and smiled brightly. "But even on her death bed, she didn't stop smiling and stayed strong. I want to grow up to be just like her!"
Valentina smiled, "Don't worry Ouida, I just know your mother would be proud of you!"
Ouida blushed. "Thank you..."
"So is this why your brother hates commoners?" Cadell intervened. Valentina stared at him for ruining the atmosphere.
"Ohh.. yes.. After that incident, both my father and Odis started loathing the commoners. Odis started making friends with other nobles who hated commoners and started bullying them."
"I'd stop him whenever I could but he never listens to me and starts doing it again. I'm sorry."
"No need to apologize for your brother Ouida. We know you're doing your best! And I'm not afraid of bullies, my brother taught me we should always stand up to bullies!" Valentina comforted her.
"Mm.. Thank you Valentina. Your brother sounds like a great person."
"You can just call me Val!" Valentina smiled brightly. After pausing, her face turned solemn. "Yeah he was the best."
Cadell looked at Valentina and felt his heart ache. He said in a joking manner, "Haha..Wasn't your brother a bit of a lunatic Val? He would never speak to anyone in the town right? He was really intimidating too.."
Valentina's face turned red and she started hitting Cadell on his shoulders. "No! He was not! You're the crazy one, eyes always glued to your books!"
Ouida broke out into a burst of laughter. Valentina and Cadell stopped, looked at her, and they also started laughing.

Edana was waiting outside on the hallway with other knights. A sharp faced boy wearing a light blue robe with a water droplet symbol approached her. He had curly black hair and blue eyes.
"Hello beautiful. Aren't you a bit young to be a knight?"
Edana stared at him with her mulberry colored eyes, but didn't say anything.
"Wow~ Beautiful and cold too. Exactly my type. What do you say we get out of this boring place and go dine somewhere?"
"Are all the storm knights this shameless?"
"She speaks! And no, it's only me hahaha!" he winked. "Oh! I forgot to introduce myself, Len Beale, at your service."
Edana was about to open her mouth but the doors to the meeting room finally opened. All the knights immediately straightened up.
Out of the room, Thorn and another man wearing a blue robe with a water droplet symbol came out. He had grayish blue hair which was tied, a full beard and one of his eye was blue in color while the other had a scar and its iris had become white.
"Storm Knights, with me." He called out with a strong voice. "Good talking to you after so long Thorn. Hope you'll fill all your knights in. I'll be off then."
"Haha.. Still in a hurry as always huh Avery. Well, see you soon." Thorn looked at the man's fading back. 'Avery Gray.... What are you plotting this time', he then turned towards his knights. "Let's go. I have a lot to fill you in."
Edana and the other knights responded, "Yes sir!"
They walked out of the church and headed towards the inn Thorn was staying at.
