Chương 63: Claw, tooth and poison, part 1

When Queen shrieked in pain and anger and brought her front paw to stomp on him like on an insect, Cael was already running away. He could hear the thumps of Queen's heavy steps as she chased him, and knew he was too slow.

But thankfully, he wasn't alone in this.

"Die, you pig!" Princess roared. She charged past Cael with lightning speed and lunged at Queen.

Their wrestling made the earth shake underneath Cael's feet, but he didn't stop to look at it until he reached the edge of the Nest. With his Light spell still illuminating the surroundings, he could see several cat-sized dragon hatchlings huddling to the wall. They appeared afraid to even breathe.

Their scales were mossy-green, but didn't have yet the ugly growths of adult dragons. Their eyes were bigger in proportion to their heads. They pressed their tiny tails to their bellies with their tiny paws.

They looked kinda cute.
