I took a deep steadying breath as the judge called us all to attention with his words. It was time. It was here. We were getting married after less than twenty-four hours of being engaged.

"Thank you all for joining us on such short notice. But when love knows it's the right time, things can get a little crazy. We are here to witness the union between Alexio Ptolemy and Talia Gray. You will each recite the vows that come to your hearts when the time comes, but we will begin with the promises you will make each other." 

From here, the judge asked Lex and I to repeat after him, as he asked if we agreed to love, honor, and cherish each other for as long as we shall live. If we would love each other in sickness and health, through good times, and bad. He spoke the words which were so clichéd on TV, but made my heart sing with joy in this moment.

"I do." My heart leapt when Lex vowed to me.
