"Hey, listen." Reagan called from across the room. "I know it was a tense time, but the important thing here is that you're OK. Saylor didn't get hurt physically, no one had to go to the hospital, or the morgue, or a cemetery. We're all OK, and we need to be thankful for that."
"I am thankful." Dad and I said at the same time.
"We really are." Storm said. "And thank you Reagan, Talia, Queen Trinity, King Reece, and everyone else that helped us save my brother. It was a crazy and scary time for us. If it weren't for all of you, the next extended family of ours, we would have all been shattered. And that is not something we would have recovered from so easily."
"Spoken like a true man." King Reece said as he nodded at my brother. "Storm, I applaud you for being mature enough to issue such a heartful show of gratitude. And you, Saylor." He turned toward me, and I winced. "I want to tell you that I am also proud of you."
