"Okay, let's set aside the details of the oath we took and focus on the task at hand," Fang Xue said abruptly, interrupting Li Qiang's thoughts and prompting her to shift her attention.
"Yes, let's get to business. What would you like to do first?" Li Qiang responded, trying to wriggle free from Fang Xue's grasp, which still caressed her like a pet.
Releasing Li Qiang, Fang Xue pondered for a moment about her initial course of action.
"First, let's discuss cultivation. Although I have some memories of it, they are not as reliable as the knowledge of a goddess," Fang Xue stated after contemplating for a while. The prospect of being able to destroy stars, planets, and worlds filled her with excitement.
"Now that we have taken the oath, I can directly transmit knowledge to your mind... Get ready," Li Qiang replied as a beam of light emanated from her forehead, heading straight for Fang Xue's forehead.
Fang Xue closed her eyes to absorb the new information and assimilate it with the memories she possessed, resulting in a clearer understanding of cultivation.
Cultivation is a battle against the heavens, harnessing their energy and refining it to transform oneself into a deity.
People embark on this path for various reasons, such as seeking immortality, fame, or supreme dominance over everything and everyone.
Motivations vary, as do the methods employed.
However, regardless of motivations or methods, cultivators are in constant conflict, whether with the heavens themselves or with other cultivators.
They use the bodies of those who obstruct their path to ascend, or become stepping stones for others.
This has been the way of cultivation since ancient times.
Once inside, cultivators continue to ascend through various realms, either increasing their longevity or meeting their demise at the hands of time or fellow cultivators.
Cultivation consists of multiple realms, each with its unique characteristics and requirements.
Though the realms of cultivation are numerous, even infinite, Fang Xue possesses a better understanding of the first four realms:
Body Training consists of nine levels and focuses on strengthening the body, establishing a solid foundation for the future refinement of the energy of heaven and earth within the meridians and storing it in the Sea of Qi.
At this level, individuals have minimal contact with heavenly energy or Qi.
Prior to Fang Xue's rebirth, the previous owner of the body, a young half-demon, had only reached the third level of Body Training, a level attainable with a little effort.
Only after reaching the fourth level of Body Training can one be considered to have entered the path of martial arts.
Following the completion of all levels of Body Training is the Qi Sense Realm.
In this realm, individuals can truly sense and refine Qi, storing small amounts within their bodies. This enables the use of martial skills and extends longevity, with individuals in this realm potentially living up to 200 years.
Another defining aspect of this realm is the ability to determine one's Qi affinity, which influences the chosen path of cultivation, whether orthodox, demonic, or otherwise.
After the Qi Sense Realm comes the Opening of the Meridians, involving the opening and strengthening of all meridians in the body, allowing for the storage of greater amounts of Qi.
Longevity increases once more, with individuals in this realm possibly living up to 350 years.
The next realm, Core Formation or Opening the Dantian, is reached by those who have opened all their meridians and attained sufficient strength.
In this realm, a small organ/core is formed approximately 5 cm below and 5 cm inward from the navel.
Within this organ, known as the Sea of Qi, large amounts of Qi can be stored. The main characteristic of this realm is the ability to fly through the skies.
Individuals in this realm may live up to 700 years.
Opening her eyes, Fang Xue let out a sigh, realizing the vastness and longevity of this path. Her revenge against the gods may take centuries, but she is determined to fulfill it in due time.
"Now that I have a better understanding of cultivation, it's time to truly begin cultivating. From my memories, I have knowledge of two cultivation techniques. One is the most basic, only capable of taking me to the third level of Body Training," Fang Xue sighed, recalling her past as someone without talent.
After a few seconds, Fang Xue found the ensuing silence between her and Li Qiang peculiar.
She expected the proud goddess to declare that she possessed divine techniques that would make her invincible.
Contrary to Fang Xue's expectations, Li Qiang lay on the ground, attempting to blend into the dark surroundings.
She remained so still that if Fang Xue didn't have an oath and knew Li Qiang was alive, she would have mistaken her for a lifeless rabbit or even failed to notice her presence at all.
"Is she truly a goddess?" Fang Xue began to doubt her decision to align herself with Li Qiang.
Though Li Qiang could hear Fang Xue's thoughts and wished to retaliate, she chose to continue playing dead and erase her presence.
After all, she was but a fragment of a soul, having lost many memories over time and through battles against an enigmatic being. Her knowledge remained limited.
As for divine cultivation techniques, unparalleled martial arts, and mystical skills, she possessed mere fragments of them in her memory.
However, even those fragmented techniques and abilities could cause upheaval in the mortal realm.
The real issue lay in the requirements each technique demanded for cultivation, which would prove challenging to fulfill in the mortal world.
Essentially, only a few techniques of limited usefulness were available for Fang Xue to begin her cultivation journey.
In short, despite her boasting and proud claims of guiding Fang Xue in cultivation, Li Qiang was currently rather... useless
