Chương 63: Elbaf's Pride

As the fight progressed, Luffy and Vivi were completely focused on watching what was happening in front of them when suddenly Luffy's observation haki sensed the presence of someone a bit further to the left.

Luffy narrowed his eyes and looked back slightly, making sure he wasn't noticed by anyone who was there. When he looked up, he saw a woman hovering with an umbrella in the sky some distance away from him.

Luffy immediately recognized her as Ms. Valentine, and if he was there, that meant Mr. 5 is also there. Luffy didn't tell Vivi about this; instead, Luffy raised his guard and exerted his observation haki to the max.

Luffy then watched him descend back to the ground before being obscured from view by some bushes. Deciding to see what was going on, Luffy tried to sense where Ms. Valentine was, who she was with, and where she was going.

Luffy felt her presence along with the presence of another familiar aura, which he guessed to be Mr. 5.

The two of them walked away from Luffy and Vivi and headed in opposite directions. Luffy then tries to find where his crew is: Sanji is alone, Johnny and Yosaku are together, Zoro is also alone, and Nami, Usopp, and Nojiko are together.

Luffy breathed a sigh of relief knowing all of his crew were okay, then turned his attention back to the fight, only to see Dorry and his opponent fall to the ground before they started laughing at each other.

Dorry and her opponent then got up, and his opponent then gave something up before they split up. Dorry then came back and sat down with some barrels in his hands.

"Brogy said he had guests, and they gave him this amazing drink he was kind enough to share with me," he said as he sat down.

"Did he say who his guest was?" Luffy asked, wanting to know if the giant named Brogy was with his crew or Baroque Works.

"He didn't say, but from what I could see, there were two young women and a fella with a long nose," he said, causing Luffy to laugh.

"They're from my crew," he said with a smile.

"Gegyagyagyagyagya! "Then I should be thanking you for this delicious drink," he said, lifting the two barrels between his fingers before he cracked the top with his thumb and started drinking.

While he was drinking alcohol, Luffy noticed the look on his face suddenly change. Before Luffy could think about it, the alcohol exploded, causing Dorry's eyes to roll to the back of his head, and he fainted, falling rearward.

"Dorry!" Vivi screamed as they both got to their feet.

"It's the same alcohol that was on the ship," said Luffy as he stared at the passed-out Dorry with wide eyes.

"That other giant must have set him up," Vivi said, causing Luffy to look at her with a cold expression on his face.

"Shut up, Vivi," said Luffy quietly. "There's no way he would do that; too much pride was involved for him to pull off such a cowardly act," said Luffy.

"Okay then, who did it?" Vivi asked. Before Luffy could answer, Dorry spoke as he got up slowly with his weapon in hand.

"You're a stranger," Dorry said lowly as he thrust his giant sword into the ground. "That's not Brogy, no way. No Elbaf warrior would want to do that. So who else on this island could be suspected but you?" he said, causing Luffy to step in front of Vivi with narrowed eyes.

"My crew and I are not the only ones on this island," said Luffy, surprising everyone.

"And who else is on this island?" Dorry asked in a dangerous tone.

"A group of bounty hunters," he said, looking up at the towering giant. "If I'm not mistaken, you are Dorry the Blue Ogre, and this friend of yours is Brogy the Red Ogre, former captain of the Giant Warriors Pirates," said Luffy, surprising Vivi.

"You two have a 200 million berry bounty on your heads, right?" Luffy asked, causing Dorry to nod while looking at Luffy suspiciously.

"How about you allow me and my crew to take care of them while you guys focus on your fight with Brogy?" Luffy offered.

"And why should I believe you?" Dorry asked while looming over Luffy. "And how did you know they were on the island?" he asked again.

"You're from the New World; I'm sure you know about haki," said Luffy, remembering that Elbaf was in the New World, one of many things taught to him by Shanks' right-hand man, Ben Beckman.

"I know Haki; however, I'm not its user," he said, causing Luffy to nod in understanding. Luffy assumed that he might think of haki as a form of cheating in duels.

"I guarantee, Dorry, that whoever interrupts your holy duel will pay for it," said Luffy in a cold voice as the sky above began to darken and the other began to fill with thunderclouds.

Just then, the volcano erupted, signaling it was time for the next fight. Luffy looked at Dorry and spoke. "I think you'd still be fighting even if you were injured," he said, looking at Dorry.

"I have to, as an Elbaf warrior," he said before he coughed up blood, causing Luffy to become even more irritated.

"What!?" Vivi screamed in shock. "Dorry, you need to rest!" Vivi screamed, trying to reason with the giant.

"I am Dorry, and I will fight for Elbaf's pride and will die a warrior!" he said as he began to take slow steps toward his battlefield. While Dorry walked towards her duel, the sky continued to turn dark, and Luffy stood there with an annoyed look on his face. As Dorry and Brogy started their duel, Usopp suddenly landed in front of Luffy and Vivi.

"Usopp?" Luffy said in surprise. Usopp jumped to his feet and started crying in front of Luffy.

"Luffy! Nami and Nojiko get eaten by dinosaurs! "He shouted frantically, causing Vivi, Luffy, and Karoo's eyes to widen.

"WHAT!?" shouted the three of them.

"We were being chased through the woods and Iran in front of them, and when I looked back, they were gone!" he cried, hugging the giant duck.

Luffy, not wanting to believe Usopp's words, started trying to feel for Nami and Nojiko, and he was relieved to find them.

"Calm down, Usopp; they're still alive," said Luffy, causing him to let out a sigh of relief. Vivi then started explaining to Usopp that Baroque Works was on this island and had put explosives on Dorry's drink.

Just as Usopp was about to speak, they all saw Dorry start to fall as Brogy prepared to give the finishing blow. Everyone's eyes widened as they saw a tower of blood spurt out of Dorry's wound as Brogy slashed him in the chest.

"DORRY!" they all shouted. Before they could say anything else, two figures emerged from the bushes to the right of Luffy and the others.

"Too bad," said Mr. 5 when he and Ms. Valentine showed themselves. Vivi and Usopp were scared when they saw the two agents, and Luffy grew up when he saw them for two reasons.

First, for what they had done to Dorry, and second, for letting his guard down again. His focus shifted as he saw Dorry dying. He lowered his guard, and now these two bugs managed to slip away from him.

"After a hundred years, their duel has finally come to an end. So dishonorable," said Mr. 5, making Luffy even more irritated. Luffy then looked at Vivi and Usopp before he spoke.

"Nami and Nojiko are in that direction, and they seem to be alone," said Luffy, pointing just to Brogy's right. "Go find them and wait for me there," he said before turning back to the agent duo.

"I'll take care of them both," he said lowly as thunder rumbled overhead and lightning flashed.
