After having learned Blood Magic from Cassandra, Viel acquired the Sub-Class Blood Mage and the skill Hemomancy, which evolved into Hemomancy [Ex].
It allowed him to manipulate his blood and any that was not flowing in a person. To do that you should at least be an S-Ranker.
Cassandra showed it to him as she controlled his blood and therefore his body. It proved that if she desired it, she could kill him anytime she wanted.

"This is your last day here." Cassandra said. "You must get your second Blood Tattoo without my help. I will only provide you with the blood needed for it."
When she finished speaking, she took out a bottle. It had a thick dark red-golden liquid flowing in it.
"This here is the blood of an Argonaut-Rank Shadow Dragon." Cassandra explained. "I know that besides having a major affinity with Blood Magic, you also have it with Light and Dark Magic. So I thought that a Shadow Dragon would be more compatible with you and make it easier."
"I am very grateful Master." Viel said as he got to his knees and bowed.
"There is no need to do that. Although we are master and disciple, there is no need for you to call me master. You can call me Cassandra. Do you get it?"
"Ok, Cassandra," Viel replied.
"Also, if you get to use it to make a Blood Tattoo perfectly I will reward you with something else, maybe I will even let you call me Darling." Cassandra said.
After all this time, exactly 3 months, their relationship has progressed by leaps and bounds.
They both headed to the basement in which Cassandra made Viel's first Blood Tattoo.
Cassandra drew the circle with the blood of many monsters and then left the room.
Viel sat in the middle of the circle and started to absorb the energy of the blood.
He took out the bottle with the Shadow Dragon blood. He could feel the will of the Shadow Dragon in it, it was much stronger than the Ironclad Rhino's. He really doubted if he would be able to make it.
Just when that thought passed his mind, he remembered Cassandra's words. He would do everything he could to make it and call her master Darling!
He followed the steps Cassandra taught him so many times.
While channelling the power from the blood of the circle, he summoned his Blood Brush.
He dipped the brush in the Shadow Dragon blood and started using it to draw the figure of a scary dragon crawling his left arm.
The dragon was covered in scales and had two horns on its head. It had a long tail that curled around his waist and a pair of wings that extended throughout his chest and his back.
Viel could feel the will of the Shadow Dragon trying to dominate him.
'Not today, not ever.' Viel thought.
He continued drawing the tattoo until he finished.
Then he infused his mana into the tattoo.
'Here goes nothing.'
The moment his mana reached the tattoo, Viel's veins swelled up and the crawling dragon started to move towards his neck.
It coiled around his neck and started to tighten. It was trying to choke him.
'I won't let you!' Viel thought.
Viel's eyes turned red and his hair started to glow.
"I WILL NOT LET YOU!" He screamed.
A red mist surged from his body.
"YOU ARE MINE NOW!"
The dragon stopped moving and the red mist entered the tattoo.
"AAAAAHHHH!"
From the tattoo, a huge shadow appeared. It was the will of the Shadow Dragon, it really showed that a dragon was different.
"You know...you are not the first Argonaut-Rank will that I need to subdue." Viel said.
It was more difficult than when he tried to dominate Ferto's Soul. Maybe the two were Argonaut-Rank Monsters, but a dragon species was different. However, he wasn't the same as before; now he was stronger!
From Viel, an ethereal aura erupted. It was the manifestation of his soul power.
The will of the Shadow Dragon and the soul power from Viel collided.
Both fought for supremacy, but neither would allow the other to win.
"I AM THE ONE WHO WILL PREVAIL HERE!" Viel screamed while he squeezed out every last drop of his soul power to defeat the Shadow Dragon.
In that short amount of time, the balance broke and Viel used the opportunity created to overwhelm the will.
"NOOOOOOO!" The Shadow Dragon's will cried in pain.
The huge shadow started to condense into a small black drop that was absorbed by the Blood Tattoo.
"STABILIZE IT!" Viel said.
The dragon that was surrounding his neck cowered down in fear and retreated to its original position.
Viel veins returned to normal and the aggressive and flickering energy in the surroundings calmed down.
He looked at his new Blood Tattoo, but it was different from the Ironclad Rhino's one and from what Cassandra taught him. It was black. All Blood Tattoos were supposed to be crimson-red.
In the end, he decided to check it later with her.
He put on his clothes and went upstairs to meet his master.
"Mast-Cassandra. Where are you?" Viel asked.
"I'm upstairs. Come here." Cassandra answered.
