Chương 224: Chapter 224: Immortal Ocean's Clan Arrival
"Illumia, have Mother and Father still not returned?" Asked Elif as he opened his eyes and glanced at Illumia, who was standing beside his door while he floated in a meditative position above his bed.
"No, your Highness, Their Majesties haven't returned." Replied Illumia with a slight bow, her words causing Elif to frown as he lowered himself to the bed.
'Haa, they should be fine; even if they do happen to encounter someone more powerful than them, they are the Empress and Emperor of the Elven Empire. Only another Immortal Hegemony would dare do such a thing, and even then, they would think twice if it's worth possibly starting a war.' Thought Elif with a sigh as he shook his head before falling backward into his bed, resting his head upon his incredibly comfortable pillow.
I wouldn't normally be worried for Mother and Father, but there were only two days left until my birthday, and according to Father, they would return before my birthday. Now, with their cultivation bases, two days are plenty of time for them to return to the Empire, but since they still haven't, something must've gone wrong, which did slightly worry me, though a part of me expected this would happen.
"Why do I have a feeling Mother was the one to blame?" Muttered Elif, his words causing Maria, who was currently engaged in the middle of an intense fight, to shiver suddenly.
Well, there wasn't anything I could do about it, really; I just hoped they would return by tomorrow, or at least before the morning of my birthday. Hopping off my bed, I exited my room alongside Illumia following me, and as I did so, I noticed an abnormal amount of servants present in the halls, which has been the norm for the past week or so. Since there were only two days remaining until my birthday, everyone who was going to attend had already arrived, and they were currently somewhere within Yggdrasil; most of the men were either at the Gambling Leaf or brothels, while most of the women stayed within the palace.
Obviously, the women stayed within the palace so they may have the heavenly opportunity to lay their eyes upon my magnificent and graceful figure and possibly even have the luck to converse with me. However, other than looking from a distance, none of the women dared to get close. I don't know why that's so, but whenever I'm with Elaine, they always look at her with fear in their eyes, so I assume she has something to do with it, but I never bothered asking her; after all, I had no desire to speak to those women.
Most of the women that I happen to speak to all have ulterior motives, and it's also rather annoying showing a friendly facade to a bunch of insignificant plebeians, so I was actually quite thankful for Elaine's assistance, though that never stopped me from winking at them when I saw them.
'Speaking of those plebeians, there some are right now.' Mused Elif as he glanced to his right, noticing a couple of average-looking women consisting of different species walking together down the hall, only to momentarily freeze when they noticed Elif.
Seeing them freeze at my utterly astonishing beauty, I flicked my hair behind me and blew them a kiss before continuing on with my day, only to hear them loudly arguing with each other a few seconds later.
"Shut up, you whore! Prince Elif blew me that kiss!"
"As if you hideous scaly lizard, that kiss was most definitely meant for me."
"Tch, like Prince Elif, would find such a fat bitch like yourself worthy of a kiss; it was obviously meant for me, the most beautiful."
Hearing their arguing voice fading as I walked away, I couldn't help but chuckle; making women fight over me was one of the main reasons I enjoyed flirting. It's rather amusing to find a bunch of women who will never be my Empress fighting other women for an already taken position.
"Hehe, isn't it amusing, Illumia?" Asked Elif softly with a slight chuckle as he turned around and glanced at Illumia, who just looked at him blankly.
"I don't find much joy in such actions, your Highness. The people I meet who tend to manipulate others with only their looks have never been friendly." Replied Illumia blandly as she glanced at Elif before closing her eyes while walking behind him.
"Surprising words to come from the mouth of a half-succubus, but I suppose everyone has things they like and dislike. Anyways, where is everyone?" Remarked Elif calmly with a nod before turning back around and spreading his divine sense, encompassing Yggdrasil.
Birger, that lustful man, was at the brothel with a few other people while being tended to by two women, Shelia, Eyvor, and Echo were just riding around Yggdrasil in a carriage. I knew Elaine was cultivating in her room, so I didn't interrupt her with my divine sense; I didn't want to cause her to accidentally go into Qi deviation. Goliath was; actually, I couldn't find Goliath, which did surprise me, considering he was a Titan, standing nearly thirty meters tall, double what he was when I first met him.
'He's probably outside the Empire doing something either stupid, loud, or crazy; most likely all the above.' Thought Elif with a shake of his head as he retracted his divine sense before taking a right, heading in the direction of the royal training grounds.
Speaking of Shelia and Goliath, both of them had arrived a few days after Birger and Eyvor; I also got to meet Shelia's elder brother, the half-Elf, well, more like quarter-Elf, but he'll never know, though he was somewhat surprised to learn Illumia was also a half-Elf, again, quarter-Elf, but she won't ever know either. After those two arrived, there were five days of relative peace, but after that, people started swarming in droves to attend my birthday celebration, which was quite hectic.
Thankfully, I wasn't required to welcome them personally; I only did so with Shelia, Goliath, Eyvor, Echo, and Birger since they were the ones I found most interesting; maybe I might find someone interesting like them, but I wasn't banking on it.
'Now that I think about it, the only person who has yet to attend is the group from the Immortal Ocean Clan; eh, I don't really care about them either. If it's not Cordelia, then I've got hardly any interest in them.' Thought Elif with a thoughtful expression while walking through the royal training grounds, heading right for his personal training grounds.
Arriving at the training grounds, I summoned Hokori and went to one side of the arena, while Illumia summoned two wooden battle axes from her dimension ring and walked to the other side of the arena.
"Ready, your Highness?" Asked Illumia respectfully as she firmly held her two weapons while eyeing Elif, who was staring her down like she was his mortal enemy.
"Haa, you already know the answer to that, Illumia." Replied Elif, and without any hesitation, their figures suddenly vanished, having already collided hundreds of times within a mere second.

"That is enough for today, your Highness; you've improved again." Stated Illumia with a slight smile as she fixed her hair before storing her two wooden battle axes in her dimension ring while approaching Elif.
"Tsk, I-I better have improved, i-if not, I-I'm blaming you." Said Elif, covered in wounds and bruises as he lay exhaustedly on the ground with Hokori in hand while Illumia stood over him.
Sighing in pain, I stood up and sheathed Hokori before storing my sword in my dimension ring. I didn't bother using a pill to heal myself, as there was no need, despite my battered appearance; Illumia had held back, considering my birthday was tomorrow. However, she made up for holding back by making our training session twice as long, completely exhausting me and Qi reserves.
'Yeah, I'm definitely going to need a bath.' Thought Elif as he used some of his Qi to rid him of dirt and sweat before exiting the arena and walking back through the royal training grounds.
Entering the Palace, I was on my course to head to my room when suddenly, I saw a head maid frantically running right toward me, which caused me to sigh since it wasn't easy by any means to make a head maid behave frantically.
"P-Prince Elif, I-I apologize for the sudden intrusion, but a carriage bearing the water crest of the Immortal Ocean Clan has arrived." Said the head maid nervously as she bowed before Elif, her words causing him to raise his eyebrow.
"Immortal Ocean Clan? It must be Mada's fiancè, whatever her name is. Treat them like everyone else, and if they don't like it, tell them I'm bathing, and I'll meet with them eventually." Replied Elif as he rubbed his chin, looking like a great leader, even though he wasn't one yet.
"I-I understand, Prince Elif; I'll relay your messages as well." Said the head maid with a nod, feeling uncertain about the whole situation, but she was merely a maid, and she didn't dare to go against her Prince's decree.
Seeing the head maid run off back to whence she came from, I returned, heading to my room while moving Mada's fiancè to the back of my mind; arriving at my room, I entered and started to take off my clothes while Illumia quietly stood beside the door.
"You know what to do, Illumia; if it's not Elaine, don't let them in." Said Elif as he glanced at Illumia, who nodded before entering the bath and removing his last pair of clothes, only to stick his arm out and tease her with them.
