Chương 21: Need your help

Lin Ye did not have time to waste with Chen Xi anymore, "I will discharge you in the afternoon and give some instructions so make sure you pass by the office before you leave."

Chen Xi looked dejected, "Wifey, are you sending me away?"

Lin Ye stood up, "Looks like it."

Chen Xi somehow looked even more dejected than he was previously, "But it took a lot of effort to find you."

Lin Ye turned around before she opened the door, "Then just look for me again!"

She then slammed the door and rushed out.

Feng An was still at the door. Lin Ye wanted to pass some instructions but before she did, her phone started ringing, it was Doctor Chu from the OB-GYN section.

Once the line connected Doctor Chu spoke in a grave tone, "Doctor Lin, a patient of mine came in but it seems her baby has some problems in the stomach."

Lin Ye listened, 'What is the problem?"

Lin Ye walked away quickly while Doctor Chu continued to explain the situation to her.

Feng An watched her leave and fixed his glasses. He then went back to the room and saw Chen Xi near the window.

He had returned to his normal cold demeanor, a completely different one from the one he showed to Lin Ye.

He looked at Feng An, his eyes cold as ice, "Is it done?"

Feng An fixed his glasses once more, "Young master Fu and the Fu family have been dealt with sir."

When Lin Ye had left that day, she did not know that Chen Xi had sent some of his people to go after her.

They followed her discreetly and gave feedback directly to Chen Xi and when he heard that a certain nobody like Fu Mingli dare want to take liberties with his wife, he saw red but he had to act cautiously because he was not of this world.

He simply created a virus and inserted it into the Fu family's business and the result was that the stocks fell and in one night, the Fu family from the capital was no more.

Feng An always felt afraid of this boss of his because the way he did things was scary to say the least.

Lin Ye ran over to doctor Chu's office. She found him walking around in obvious stress. Once he saw her, some color returned to his face.

"Doctor Lin, the situation is truly dire, I really need your help."

Lin Ye nodded. The situation was dire indeed.

Doctor Chu had explained on the phone that this was the mother's first successful pregnancy and could also be her last.

She had some trouble conceiving and she had several miscarriages prior to this pregnancy now that she did, the child was also not developing well in her stomach.

"We noticed some irregularities in the child's heart a few weeks ago and prescribed some medication to help control it but it has gotten worse recently." Doctor Chu explained.

Lin Ye asked, "When is the mother due?"

Doctor Chu shook his head, "In a few days but for her safety and that of the child, we have to induce labor now and try to get the child out because the mother's life may be in danger if the situation is stretched out."

Lin Ye understood this better than anyone, "Then do your best to take care of the delivery and ensure safety of mother and child. After the child has been born we will conduct some tests to see what is going on."

Doctor Chu looked at Lin Ye gravely, "Doctor Lin, this is from me, please I beg you to save that child. She is the only hope her mother has right now."

Doctor Chu was known for the intense care he had for his patients. He was the number one go to doctor in the capital when it came to matters dealing with gynaecology. He always had an upper hand in that but this seemed way above what he could do.

Lin Ye understood, "I promise to do my best."

She wanted to continue but a certain someone texted her once more, "Wifey are you really letting me go?"

Lin Ye choked, what was wrong with his wording?

Lin Ye wondered what was going through Chen Xi's head all day long.

Lin Ye did not reply but then another text came in, "Wifey, are you ignoring me.

Lin Ye cursed, wifey my ass!"
