General Minaya's voice rang out. The sight of one of her kin in the hands of a demon lit a fire within her, and without hesitation, she drew her bow of light and let loose an arrow that streaked toward the demon at blinding speed.

But before the arrow could reach him, the female Demon Lord with blood-red hair appeared, blocking the attack with a wave of her whip-like blade, deflecting it harmlessly into the distance. "You won't have her," she hissed, her eyes gleaming with dark intent.

The other generals moved as one, their combined power surging forward in an attempt to intercept the demon, but the Demon Lords rallied together, protecting their comrade with a barrage of curses and dark flames. The sky was filled with explosions of light and shadow as both sides fought to reach the elf, but the demon had already slipped into the protection of his stronger allies.
