Colette could barely wait to see Nora again. Though they hadn’t been apart for very long, it still felt like forever. A few weeks or so had passed before lady Arabella Bardot allowed the blonde to see her friend, citing that she needed work around the house done that her maids simply couldn’t do.
And in those weeks, Colette had learned more vampiric tricks from the Sanguine Woman herself. Arabella had shown her how to morph into a bat, a cat, and also, a mouse. She had also taught Colette how to defend herself the best she could, with her claws and fangs.
So when her car pulled up the driveway to Nora’s villa, she exited with excitement in her eyes and eagerness in her heart.
Quickly, she made her way up the steps and into the villa itself, where she found Nora in the sitting room, a book over her face, her chest rising and lowering slowly. All the telltale signs of sleep.
Carefully removing the book, Colette set it aside and simply waited for the light to wake the brunette.
