Tai walked up to room 303 after listening to the two doors before it and didn't hear anything she pulled out one of the first two cards she found then swiped it as the door clicked open.
Tai entered first looking behind the door then checked the bathroom, it was clean but dusty she went to the desk that was near a window that had a metal screen keeping things in and out.
" look through he drawers to see what you can find " Tai said as Calista did as she said finding a bag of candy with the date still good so she put that inside the duffle bag then was bagging other things that she wanted like make-up, deodorant and also some medicine bottles for allergies.
" This picture" Calista said grabbing the frame from the table taking it to Tai, who also noticed the two women because of the young girl in the picture.
" It's Lillian and her mother's " Calista said putting the picture inside the bag as Tai put some sealed letters along with some SD cards that were inside the desk drawer and also found a photography camera so she put it back inside the case then put it in their bag.
" anything else we might need " Tai said as Calista searched the bathroom for a few minutes then came out with Another bag that was full of the women products that they might want or need plus things that women like to use to dress up.
" come on take these two bags that you have and leave them near the door to the stairwell and we'll grab them on our way back " Tai said helping Calista put the back pack on her back then carry the other two bags tucking them out of view by a trash can.
They both Rapped their knuckles against every door going down to the next room that was 309, they didn't hear any sounds or movement inside the other rooms while Calista was looking at the key card locks and door knobs on them.
" we could probably get inside easily " Calista said running her finger over the crease by the door frame, Tai nodded her head then swiped the next key card being surprised seeing stacks of files inside boxes laying around the room.
" well let's get to work " Tai said locking the door back then walked over to a box that had a list of employees that worked for a company called Dalcon and she started pulling files into a stack to box up.
Over an hour later they had a cardboard box filled with papers, any USBs or files that had information on the virus along with the names of employees who worked in this facility she put inside the back pack. Tai noticed how the bed skirt had the top part stuck under the mattress while the rest was how it's supposed to look.
There was a Tactical 12 gauge shotgun with a box that had four shells in it along with a small box of USBs with some older flash drives that were them.
" it's better than nothing " Tai said putting the drives inside the back pack while she loaded the four shells inside the gun and put the strap around her shoulder while picking up the air rifle.
" ooh nerd clusters and sourpatch kids " Calista said grabbing the two bags of candy shoving them in one of the back pack pockets, when they're getting ready to exit the room they heard the sound of a dirt bike from outside the window.
Tai went over then used the wall to hide herself while looking down, she noticed the dirt bike right away but the person who was dressed in normal clothing she did not until he took off his helmet looking around.
" That's Ricky " Tai said while clenching the air rifle seeing that he had one of their bikes.
" he must have stole the bike somehow, I don't see any of the others that was in his group from the house with him...I swear if he hurt our people he'll die slowly " Tai said going out the room jogging to grab the two bags while Calista waited by the next door they had a key card to enter.
Tai ran back then swiped the key to the last door that happened to be the woman's room that was inside the locker, Tai searched the room also finding different vials that had her handwriting on them.
" what are these for " Calista said looking through different vials while carefully placing them in a special case that would keep the vials from breaking, she remembers seeing her dad have similar cases.
" One vial has danger written on it " Calista said gently placing the vial in a empty spot inside the case, she opened the duffle bag placing the case inside while taking a box of syringes as well.
" her cell phone still has battery and it doesn't have a screen lock " Calista said pushing play seeing the beautiful woman sitting at the desk that Tai is at now on the video.
" my name is Dr. Finnard and the world is in danger, we found an organism that doesn't seem to be of this world but perhaps it could be billions of years old and with the ice thawing out could be either one. Nothing in our world seems to match the markers of this thing, it seems to spread the rapidly and not only does it affect humans but also other animals as well.
We grew a specimen from the samples we obtained with nothing other than with it's DNA and this is what we got from that.
A video of a large creature that has bipedal legs with a greyish white skin with a crown like shape skull with several rolls of teeth in its jaws that opened like an animals jaw would but then the top and bottom jaw split open where it had needle like teeth attached to the flesh of the jaw along with having rows of teeth. It grew fast day one it went from a tadpole to a foot long, the next day it was three feet long with a tail that had a blade like top and dozens of smaller spikes covering half its tail which grew longer than the body. The claws on its hand had elongated fingers with sharp claws on them but only three digits while it's feet was like hooves with two curved claws on them. It seemed to have an exoskeleton to protect it from harm, two weeks in the creature was at nine feet tall on all fours and twice that when it stood on two.
" it sorta reminds me of those sci-fi alien movies maybe she's right about it being not of this world or hell it could be billions of years old...maybe those things crashed on earth back then or what about those meteor's that crashed to earth " Calista said as they fast Forward the video with commentary to where it showed the creature punching through the concrete steel structure that it was being held in when dozens of sprinklers went off spraying the whole room then a large pilot light went off filling the room with fire making the creature thrash around while screeching.
Tai and Calista winced at the noise that thing made and quickly fast Forward to the part where they put the fire out showing it's blackened car is burnt to a crisp while it was folded in a fetal position.
Two weeks after the autopsy of the creature they found another one that seemed to be hibernating and they shoes to freeze it after taking samples from it while implanting several devices inside of it.
" it looks like a human fetus doesn't it " Tai said looking at the screen, she went to the last video that showed the woman with a pale face while holding her stomach.
" do not trust Dr. Swanson, he's a mad man who is trying to make a perfect race using our DNA with that creatures and he do e that to the creature we put down...SYL-01 is his creation, the creature didn't give birth or anything it was him...On this phone you'll find files and also pass codes for this facility along with all the others, his daughter is his only weakness so keep her safe.... Ahhh" The woman was saying when she groaned out in pain as her eyes started loosing their light and her words started coming out jumbled and incoherent when two women rush inside that happened to both be Lillian's parents.
" put me inside " The woman said walking over to the locker while the two women tried to pull her away, she slapped their hands away.
" you know I'm turning....Ahhh do it " She said before squeezing inside she used the phone she had to send all the backups and handed the other two the phone, they said their goodbyes to her and she closed her eyes slumping in the locker.
" so she was infected by someone, there was no bites on her and someone stabbed her...I'm sure she sent all the data to this phone and he'll probably to people she trusted " Tai said going back to the window to see if that Ricky guy was still outside, she seen the bike but not him.
" Calista stay here with the stuff, here's the shotgun remember you only have four shells inside, take these just in case he gets close to you and stab him in his leg with them " Tai said handing her a yellow dart that she put in her shirt pocket, Tai checked Calistas hand gun seeing she only had twelve bullets and then pulled the .38 off her belt with it's holster.
" get that box of .38s out of the bag have them sitting near you where you can load it easy " Tai said walking over to the closet opening it and noticed four shotgun shells in the floor where one was a used cartridge while the other three was not used. She loaded the other three into the shotgun with one round in the chamber since this one holds eight shells, she leaned the shotgun against the wall inside the closet while putting the bags and box inside.
" let's get you inside, be careful of what you eat in this room or drink since someone infected that woman we still don't know how so be careful, you have twelve rounds with your nine and thirty some with the .38." Tai said as Calista pulled her by the back of her neck kissing her passionately and trying to pull her closer and slides her hand down cupping Tais bulge gently squeezing it making Tai moan.
" when I get back we'll stay the night here, do not come outside this room and when I leave use the privacy latch on the door and push that furniture quietly in front of it...Calista do not make any noise what do ever " Tai said gathering the pillows from the couch and bed putting them inside with a small blanket she found.
" Tai just stay here " Calista said gripping Tais shirt, Tai smiled softly at her then kissed her forehead.
" look it's going to be night time in a couple hours so let's just stay here then leave in the morning, when I take care of Ricky I'll move the ATV and hide it ok but here you keep the keys just in case...I love you Calista and I promise I'll be back, I'll call you through the door that's the only time you open it " Tai said as Calista walked her to the door kissing her goodbye, Tai left with the air rifle, DAO sword, Tactical knife and her .40 cal was only the weapons she had with the air rifle loaded with a yellow dart.
Tai glanced around the rooms and seen a map in the wall of the facility that she ripped down using her light to look it over, she noticed two more floors below the three and smiled when she seen the labs on floor B2 and the armory on B1.
