Chương 16: Dōjutsu Awakening (2/2)

After everything was precisely arranged, Naruto got into a meditative posture and closed his eyes.

"I'm ready. Activate the seals."

After getting the confirmation, Kitsune started activating the seals one by one, carefully inspecting them to see if any defects were present.

She finally came to the core seal, the 'Infinite Tsukoyomi Seal,' a derived seal from the genjutsu of Uchiha. Kitsune learned it from Mito Uzumaki, who knew it from Ashina Uzumaki. Then she activated the seal and moved to the outer area to not disturb him.

Just as the seal activated, Naruto felt it give off a subtle warmth. Then he felt a sudden suction force. The same feeling he got when entering the eight trigram seal.

When he finally opened his eyes, he was on the side of a lonely road. He couldn't see anything besides one malfunctioning street light beside him. He felt confused and disoriented.

No matter how hard he looked, there wasn't anything. But then he heard some footsteps approaching him.

He looked in that direction to see his past self's parents walking towards him. Overcome by a sudden feeling, he ran and hugged them with tears in his eyes.

"Mom"

"Dad"

He called them out. But there was no reply.

Suddenly it started raining, and the surroundings changed that to an event he knew all too well. He felt his heart rapidly beating.

This was one of his traumas. Something he wished to forget. Something he wished never happened. Something that he wished he could change.

But the scene in front of him betrayed his expectations. Just as his parents stepped onto the road, he heard the screeching sound of tires. He wanted to save his parents at all costs. Yet he couldn't.

"Pleaseeee stooooop!!!"

"Pleaseeeee"

"Don't leave meeeee!!!"

"waaaaaaaait!!!"

He screamed and screamed, but everything he did was for naught as he watched them being crushed. Their terrified expressions were etched into his mind. He cried and cried, and the same scene repeated again and again. Their screams echoed in his mind.

Then suddenly, everything vanished like it was never there, and Naruto was again standing on a dark road. He felt pain but couldn't remember what had happened.

[[[ Outside at the same time ]]]

Kitsune saw Naruto's body being tensed up and suddenly started shivering. She knew that he would not be able to hold on any longer. Negative feelings were rushing out of his body like a broken dam. In fact, she clearly understood what negative emotions could do to a person more than anyone.

She promptly deactivated the core seal, as she knew if it were delayed any further, Naurto would never be the same again.

Following the deactivation, Naruto opened his eyes. His crystal-clear blue eyes were fading and were being replaced by a milky white color. But it did not stop there, as it spread through the seal channel tattooed right under his eyes.

Since they were connected to the "karma"-like seals in his hands, they also started glowing with white color. He looked like an otherworldly being. Then suddenly, a black dot materialized in the middle of his milky eyes.

*Thump* *Thump* *Thump*

Following that, three black tomoe appeared in succession to each other, rotating around the middle black dot and adjusting their radii of rotation. Their radii ranged from close to far until they finally reached a constant radius and the mivements slowed down.

Kitsune, who was watching this, was scared out of her wits. She had never felt so insignificant before. She felt infinite power surging from his eyes and the seals in his hand, which now were more than just seals. It looked like a thick ink line, branching downward and dividing into smaller paths with circles at their ends.

All of a sudden, every white circle started to manifest different patterns of varying colors and started giving out vibrations.

*Bzzzzzzzzzzt*

It was like the culmination of many dojutsu, powered by the white energy lines channeled by his eyes.

"Oh god."

"What did I just see?"

"How can a person like this exist?"

She couldn't even think straight, sensing their oppressive aura. But luckily, they didn't glow for long, as they all returned to their original white color. It was as if they were either suppressed or lacked energy. However, Kitsune was in no mood to think about it as she saw Naruto fall unconscious.

Then the surrounding suddenly became dead silent. It was like nothing had happened. But the boulder Naruto stayed on top of said otherwise. It was in pieces from not being able to bear the pressure. Most of the water in the pond was vaporized.

Kitzune looked at Naruto in her arms with a complicated expression. She didn't even know what would happen to her physical body if she had been close to him. She didn't have the idea to test it either.

She then gently placed Naruto on her lap and slowly checked for any injuries. Although she was afraid of what had happened before, that didn't decrease her care for the boy. Kitsune really wanted answers. But she decided to trust him and wait for Naruto to reveal them.

[[[ 2 hours later ]]]

"Aghrrrr.... Where am I?"

Naruto murmured while his eyes were still closed as he woke to the soft caresses on his hair. When he opened his eyes, his eyes met with Kitsune's, who looked at them with a subtle fear that she quickly hid.

He caught on to that expression but didn't know the reason. But before he could, Kitsune spoke in a low voice. "Go and look at your reflection." Her hands were pointed at the pond.

<Naruto's Pov>

Curious, I went up to the pond and looked at the reflection.

It wouldn't be a lie to say that I was startled beyond belief.

My blue eyes were nowhere to be found. It was replaced with two milky eyes with three tomoes in each of them. They had a serene look. But it was all within my expectations, as I knew I would have both Hyuga and Uchiha bloodlines.

However, I never anticipated the 'white karma' like marks covering my hands, which stretch up to both my eyes. If I had to explain my looks in one word, I would say "handsome."

Hehe. Yup, that's what I looked like. I looked handsome.

Joking aside, without a doubt, I knew that with my byaku-sharingan, my power had taken a significant step up.

My only problem was not having something to counter space-time ninjutsu. It would be best if I gained something for that in the future.

Maybe I could devise some seals for protective measures against them. Well, that's all I could do for now anyway.

After finishing his train of thought, Naruto finally looked around to see the destruction he had caused. Then he looked at Kitsune.

"Thanks for protecting me. It must have been hard.

"No problem. We are in this together anyway." She flashed a smile at him and got up. "Shall we go now? It's getting late."

"Sure"

Then both of them cleaned up all the traces in the surrounding area before walking away for extra precaution. Well, only Naruto could walk, as Kitsune was inside his seal.

Naruto knew it was not time for him to reveal his byaku-sharingan. For that reason, he hid his new features by using his disguise ability including making his byaku-sharingan return to his normal blue colour eyes. But he knew that he would be able to use them not too far in the future.
