Having seated ourselves at the table, I began the usual ritual of divvying up the food between the three of us. Predictably, the usual tense silence settled between Lise and Aria as the former made passing glares toward the latter, with Aria simply smiling through it all as she gave me her own passes of a longing gaze.

Fvck me... How did we even manage to live like this for a year?

"I've managed to master weapons-switching with my own stuff," Lise chimed in first, visibly cutting Aria off before the older woman could even get a word in. "I can't say that I'm as skilled as you, but I can work with my own styles now."

I gave off a nod of satisfaction at my little sister's proud smile, "That's good, Lise. We might just have to spar later."
