We slowly trekked our way through the snow-covered streets of Allegra, making sure that we made as little noise as possible as we listened to whatever noises the monster made in an effort to ascertain its movement. Each crash, swipe, and growl that echoed through the howling winds that accompanied it were carefully gauged and analyzed, Mathilde providing us with some much-needed light to cut through the fog as Anna took point and I made small adjustments to our path.
"W-We're nearly there...." Anna whispered right next to my ear as Mathilde dimmed her lights. "How far do you think that thing is?"
I trained my ears for any sort of sound... listening intently for any kind of information I could use...
