Following Lucas' return from the Europe reward trip, he was surprised with a life changing proposition from Queen's Crown Hotel. The offer shocked both him and Liliana.

"Two years of service at... the London branch? Starts this February?"

Liliana's mouth gaped mouth once Lucas relayed the news to her. She had just entered his apartment when an excited Lucas pulled her to the couch before sharing the news.

Honeypuff came running after the lovebirds. She squeezed into the space between Liliana and Lucas before silently watching them.

January of the brand new year would begin in two days. Neither Lucas nor Liliana was prepared to receive this news when the new year hadn't commenced yet.

"Y-yes... I can't believe this. Mr. Zheng got the same offer too, but..." Lucas' excitement waned down, his smile faltered, "Two years. I'll be away for two years... It's a long time."

Liliana understood what made Lucas hesitant.
