Before one could comprehend, the days flew by after the empress's birthday banquet. Though, the days did not just pass away silently because of the buzzing news. The noble families that attended the birthday banquet went to their residences with news that was very juicy to others who did not make it to the banquet. The latter were very regretful about not seeing such intriguing scenes.

Most of the rumors were about the famous duchess hayes, and her rumored child with the duke. Because it had been the empress's birthday, more than half of the nobility in the empire had attended the banquet. 

''Did you see the duchess?''

''I heard duchess hayes came for the banquet.''

''Did you see the duke's son? He looks like the duchess but took the duke's eyes.''

''I heard the duchess danced with the empress's knight..''

''They looked very intimate with one another.''
